So the drivers side seems pretty flushed but the passenger rear seems to have decent camber? No shackles or blocks to the rear. What could be the issue? Wheels are scs sr8 and tires are brand new at3.

Are the wheels torqued on all the way jack it up make sure you don’t have any loose lug nuts would be my first concern or broken studs. Check the air pressure to. Just basic stuff for starters

America's Tire did that to my spline key too - I had them buy me a new one. This happened because they installed the wheels with an impact wrench. They told me that had to torque to spec and they said spec for an SR5 is 150 ft lbs. (This is spec for steel wheels - not the aluminum wheels).

Make sure that they are not over torquing and that they are not using an impact wrench to tighten all the way.

As for the wheel sticking out more on the passenger side, this is normal. The drive shaft is not centered and to compensate, Toyota shifted the whole axle a bit. This is more noticeable with aftermarket wheels. (I have SR8s too and it is the same.)

EDIT: One more thing, if you are using the lug nuts from SCS you will need to order the spline key from them - I think I paid $10 shipped. Discount Tire probably will not be able to order the key (they are the same as America's Tire) so I purchased the key and brought my receipt to AT and they reimbursed me.

That side protrudes out but camber shouldn’t be that far off. And it looks like they torqued the crap out of it.

Okay good to know. Makes me feel better. Yeah wasnt thinking much about the key. Anyhow I ordered a new one. Should I wait till the new key gets here to mess with it? I dont want to mess up that key anymore and have a problem.

If the key is not scratching the sides then it should be ok to use. I carry and use my deformed key as a backup.

    97 ft lbs.

EDIT: This is the spec for SCS. Other wheels may have different specs.

That what they told me too. 100 is ok but they need to use a torque wrench and not an impact wrench.

I agree with what he said. Mine is the same. I didn’t notice it until I got aftermarket wheels with less offset.

I've torqued Toyota aluminum wheels to 80 lb-ft since 1992. Never ever ever ever had any problems.

I will add this... I had new TRD Pro wheels and tires mounted last spring and I went to do a tire rotation and the freaking lugs were on so tight I stripped two studs. I ended up replacing the wheel studs and new lug nuts. Tire shops don’t understand torquing lugs. If I ever get new tires I will stand there and make them show me they torqued the lugs properly and just didn’t ram an impact on them.

That’s the only way to damage the key the way it was damaged. Lug was basically spinning freely in the key and the idiot just kept on with his impact. Don’t be so nice. They atleast owe you a new key and lug nut. And I’d be pretty pissed they didn’t even mention it. And check all 4 wheels. Did you get the wheel off yet?

    That is the size.

Spline lugs are meant to be torqued my hand. The key is meant to break/fail before the lug nut gets stripped.

This is an old thread but I’m here to vent. Lol Effin Costco stripped my lug nuts and broke my key as well. I had to order a set of new lug nuts and key from SCS. I’m not sure how to even get the one lug that they stripped it off. Fml

Getting the lug (assume it’s actually the stud) out of the hub is easy, it should just come out with some taps of a hammer. You can find a bunch of YouTube videos.

Replacing the new stud is just as easy. I had to replace a couple recently.

I’ll give it a try once I receive my lug nuts and key from scs. Thanks for info.
