I have owned my truck since February. I was looking through my Haynes manual to see if the picture of the transmission ID plate was similar to what is under my 2005 2WD DC. What I found was a label with a QR code showing 35010-0C050. I was sure that this was an aftermarket transmission because it did not show the Aisin ID plate. A Google search suggests that this is likely the original transmission. Is the 35010-0C050 an Aisin branded transmission. Is this the A750E transmission. Thanks.

It's definitely OEM. 90% or more of Toyota part numbers follow a pattern of #####-0c0$$ where # is a number and $ is a letter or number.

I'm guessing your 05 has a different ID plate on it because it's a different transmission(5 speed vs 4) but on my 2002, it has an Aisin ID plate that is similar to the one in the Haynes manual. I'm betting the other guys are correct that it's probably NOT aftermarket. I wouldn't sweat it.

    The a750 didn’t have a plate. The a340 did

What you’ve got is the original a750

Thanks for the little nugget regarding the Toyota part number sequence. This is good to know.

Thanks for the response. This Tundra is my first vehicle where I am getting to know its many moving parts in depth. The help that I am getting from other first gen owners through this forum prompts me to get to know my truck even more.

This is Interesting…Aisin makes the transmission that goes in the 1000 lb foot Cummins ram. They also make those really heavy duty manual locking hubs. Makes me feel good that a well made slush box is behind the 4.7 in my Tundra.

Almost all the Toyota transmissions are Aisin Warner
