Got this truck last year. And after about 5 months the auto start wouldn't work right. I'd use it, It would start up and stay on for about 10 seconds at most, then shut off, then try to start again stay on for another 5 to 10 seconds and shut off and then my remote would be beep at me three times. Also noticed after it fails twice and stops, I can hear some clicking from behind the panel in the bay where the auto start module is, thought worth mentioning maybe. Anyways My horn started acting up about 3 months after that. It'll randomly just go off, but always when I turn off the vehicle it will just blare. I have pulled a few since then but I really need my horn back. I think the two are linked but maybe not. So I'm trying to fix the auto start. I pulled panels apart like I had many times before, and I was under the assumption this was stock and the previous owner just had aftermarket remotes linked to it. I took a closer look and saw this brown wire had been cut and spliced in with an orange wire on the side of this module. This is a hack job I really hope this isn't stock. I'm assuming this is the cause of most of my issues. But I needed to know if this came like this or was added.
The auto start worked fine for that first 5 or 6 months though. So ... But maybe one of these connections just needs redoing. . . ALL of them actually. Even if it's wired properly, which im questioning. But I've never installed one, so who knows
