I just took delivery yesterday, and I already am looking to put a tonneau cover on. The one thing I’ve learned in marriage is whatever makes the noise stop, is the right thing to do….. and my wife hated taking my last truck on road trips because the stuff in the back would get wet/dirty on the trip. And discussed it. Often.

I’ve settled on a Peragon. I like that it is made in the USA. I like the design (I know that there are issues with stuff sliding forward and blocking the slats from folding correctly, which isn’t ideal). But, my buddy has had one for years and swears by it. He switched from one that had a roll up canister that blocked 14 inches of bed space. It drove him nuts, and I know it would me as well.

If anyone has a Peragon, is stepping up to the HDx version worth the extra money?

One of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made was a Paragon Tonneau.
If items getting wet in the bed is a concern, these styles are not what you are looking for.

Well that’s not great news. Which model did you have? Basic, platinum, or HDx? And what model year was it?
They used to require drilling but redesigned their mounting platform to be no drilling a couple years back, so maybe they also sealed them better?

My buddy bought his platinum model I think 3 years ago with a tailgate seal and said he only gets moisture in when it rains really hard for a long time.

    I hope I don’t regret this cover.

I had a platinum, it was a couple years ago. I broke two brackets in a couple months.

The cover is just so flimsy. I couldn't stand looking in my rear view mirror and seeing it vibrating.

I have a hard roll up and I love it. I took it off my pro and am waiting to put it back on my 1794LE. I have suddenly forgotten the exact name but is maid by Back Industries about $1200 I believe.

I tried a Paragon as well in 2020. I agree 100% with @ColoradoTJ - the most disappointing purchases I've ever made. The company stood by their product though, and gave me a full refund because I returned it within the trial period. I also tried an Undercover ArmorFlex but was disappointed in the quality after only a year or so. I ended up finding a used Diamondback SE and it has been near perfect for me.

@OHwendTrd i think you and I are reading @Bakershack post differently.

I had looked into the Peragon a lot but I tend to fully fill my bed and if you do, there is no way to open the cover without pulling everything out. Between that and their often reported quality control issues, I didn't go that route. I had a tri-fold back flip that worked well but I hated losing visibility out my rear window when it was flipped all the way up. Moved to a Retrax so I could also gain the rails for a rack/accessories and while you lose some bed space to the canister, I really haven't found this to be an issue and like being able to see when its retracted.

I know my feedback isn't really what you were asking. But I wasn't wanting to just post negative about Peragon

I would have purchased a Diamondback as well if I didn't need access to the gooseneck hitch all the time. Those are very high quality covers.

Old man cap is starting to tickle my fancy, ARE probably over LEER. Kid things are going to start getting bigger plus they're so useful. Wish they weren't $2,500+
