    5 inch zone lift
anyone lift a 17 tundra with zone 5 inch lift and have it drive the same as factory????? i had this lift installed and i think my truck is pretty much ruined, it doesnt handle right, it hops around and pushes the front end on slow turns, going slow over small bumps while turning it clunks , clicks metal to metal and the company that installed it says thats just part of having a lifted truck. and zone gave me different alignment specs which helped a little but its still not right. DONT DO IT unless u can afford to ruin a brand new truck

Welcome from Texas, Yikes no bueno amigo, I have a 6" lift I'm starting to hear those noises as well, but my alignment is pretty much dead on, hope you can get yours better, also ther are SPC UCAs that could help with alignment, let's see your ride

Post some pictures of the lift components.

Did you put bigger tires on? Was everything cleared so there is no rubbing? Skid plates?

    Was a diff drop installed?

A lifted truck won’t handle as good as factory(for the most part) but it shouldn’t be that bad. Have you driven a lifted truck before?

Hope you get it figured out...

Almost sounds like it is in 4x4

Doesnt sound right. I’d take it to another shop and have it checked out

I too am hugely disappointed with my zone 5” lift. Three different alignments. Eats tires. Binds terribly turning tightly. Zero support from Zone. Seems to be a castor issue? Can’t find UCA’s for 5” lift. 35x22.5x18 tires. Have you had any luck resolving the issues? Again ZERO support from ZONE. NEVER AGAIN.

That's crazy, it shouldn't be doing that, Maybe, take it to another offroad shop and have them do a quick lookover to make sure everything is installed correctly. I'm on a 6 inch that feels almost like the factory ride. Good luck, you shouldn't have to go through that on a nice truck..

    Jeremy,
I think I brought the thread back to life! I just came across the original and replied to it because it really sucks and the guy never had any answers.

I am a little surprised that you are having these problems. Zone is a subsidiary of BDS. And, I was under the impression that BDS had great customer support.
