I recently had someone break into my 18 tundra limited and had to replace the wood grain panel. I can’t seem to get the wood grain piece to be flush with the dashboard. Anyone have any similar issues or solutions?

I'll have to take a look and see if that piece even sits flush. I'd think it would rub and cause a noise if it did. Did you try taking it off and looking at the other side?

The piece above it pops right off

Thanks for the feedback. I have a picture of before the damages were done and it does fit perfectly flush with the dashboard. The wood grain piece shown in the pic is a replacement piece. I've taken it and the leather piece above off to try and re-fit but it will not go on like it did when it was factory new.

Was wondering if anyone on here has had any similar issues with replacing.

I've had mine on and off with different mods and installs, but I have not had that issue. Nothing behind is bent or twisted? Clearly something is causing it to bind

Thanks for the thread reference. I'm going to work on this some more to try and get it right but I have a feeling that the measurements on the piece I received are slightly off so it is not fitting correctly.

Will I cause any problems if I keep removing the piece and putting back? I don't want to make it loose by doing this.

No I don't think itll make a difference if you take that piece off multiple times. Good luck!
