Apple Music does not standardize volume across songs, so some are significantly quieter than others. There's an option called "sound check" that will normalize volume across songs so they're consistent and don't sound louder or quieter than others.

Radio vs Carplay audio is also significantly different for me. I listen to carplay at 12/14 and the radio at 30ish. Not sure why it isn't consistent, but probably something to do with the way the head unit processes audio from different sources.
