Thought I would give some feedback on the JET MAFS. I have a 2015 5.7 CM, installed the STILLEN CAI, also done the SABM to it as well. Ordered the JET high performance MAFS from CARID as they state the sensor will make up the difference of the CAI. Paid $180 for the thing. On JET's youtube channel they say if you do happen to get a check engine light just un-hook the battery and let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes then hook it back up and you are good to go. Well, that is true, but you are only good for about 50 to 100 miles then it comes back on again. I have tried a few times and it keeps coming back. I reached out to D.A.P tuning and he said those things create nothing but problems. Bad part is, CARID has a no electrical return policy.Save your money folks.

I would call or email Jet customer support and get it RMA’d.

I had one for about a year before it crapped out and went back to stock, but never had a check engine light until it went bad.

Wasn’t going to rma it but ended up doing it a few months before the warranty on it expired, sent the old one back and had a new one within a week. Put the new on the truck and haven’t had any check engine lights with this one either.

I am going to stick with stock plus my D.A.P tune. I did contact JET, if they want to refund that would be cool, if not oh well, but I will still give honest reviews.

What exactly does anyone claim an aftermarket MAF does? Seems like there's two options, either measure the air flow "better" or change the airflow values so they're wrong and the engine runs lean or rich. What was the snake oil benefit they were selling out of curiosity?

JET claims if you install a CAI and do not "upgrade" the MAFS, the factory ECM will still be reading the stock values, they say that their modified MAFS will "tune" the ECM to match the added extra air flow that the CAI gives. I had my doubts but I am one that likes to try out new things. Same as for the STILLEN CAI, it is nice but the stock intake does the same thing. If anyone was to ask my advice, I would say stay stock and do the SABM with a AFE dry filter drop in.

Yea hopefully they refund you under their first 6 month ownership policy instead of just doing a replacement since carid wont take it back. Agreed the more reviews there are out there the better so people have an idea of what they're getting into with the product.

In theory what they claim might make sense, but like you said the oem is a cai too. It kinda reminds me of this thing:

I was always afraid of the Tornado as that was something that IMO could end up in pieces on top of a piston.

I have heard horror stories about these things from a couple mechanic buddies of mine, they said they are made out of the cheapest pot metal and are known to break down and get sucked into the throttle body.

Well, it sucks. Immediately threw CEL, which stayed on through multiple starts while out running errands. It, also, turned off Traction Control completely. Additionally, the truck ran like absolute crap when going to 50% throttle and beyond. Like it was just getting bogged down. Anyway, I called Jet Performance and spoke with Corbin. He said it may have something to do with too much voltage. He advised me on how to start the return process through them (emailed them a copy of my receipt).

Welp gonna have to agree with the thread here don't buy the JET MAF, thing barely seems to last a little over a year and craps out.

The first one I had died within a year of use, got a second one through RMA September 2020 and it just crapped out today...
