JL Stealth Box Single 12

Hey! Has anyone tried the JL stealth box? Its a 12" single 2ohm sub in a custom box under rear seat?

Curious if anyone got one and if so is it worth the money? I know its JL and their always pricey but their good quality stuff. Thanks!

 

I've yet to see someone who owns it. No one seems to think it's worth it.

 

Don't have one, but having owned a lot of JL gear over the years, my 2 cents: A single 12TW3 is $550 msrp now, which means you're paying $1200 - $550 = $650 for the enclosure and JL's R&D. Look at post #23 in this thread: 2022+ Crewmax Sub enclosure build specs | Toyota Tundra Forum
to get an idea of someone making their own custom fit fiberglass/MDF enclosure originally for a single 10 but being modified for a single 12, total cost there is ~$120 according to the poster. That said, I would guesstimate that a car audio shop could probably build a similar enclosure for well under $650, maybe half that or $300-$400 and you'd save a few hundred bucks compared to the Stealthbox.

I have a SB-T-TUNDB3/10TW3/BK in my 2014 DC.
I didn't pay this much for it in 2015.

But looking back I should have just bought a sub and had a cheaper enclosure made.
It's a bit overkill for my needs..
