I just got a quote from my local installer to have Katzkin installed in my 2015 Double Cab. For the factory level leather I’m looking at $1350 installed for the leather only or $2000-2100 with Degreez. That includes new seat inserts also. How do these prices sound? There’s one other installer in town but it’s a corporate dealership. I’d like to stay with a local business. Thanks

$1350 sounds right really good installed. Not sure about any upgrades.

I paid a 1k for factory leather in my Crew Max, and i dont like it. I wish i would of gone with the Katzkins. Is the Degreez the cooled seats? If so, that sounds like a better deal to me.

They are “factory” level katzkin seats. According to the installer it’s the tier right below 100% leather. It has leather in certain spots and a different more durable material in others. And yes the Degreez is Katzkins heated and cooled option. About $650 more added to the install

I think the Katzkins quality of factory level is better than what i had put in. Id definitely go with them, for 350 bucks more than what i paid. Also the Degreez is a nice option. Will be going that route myself when mine wear out

Yes sir. My wife has a limited 4Runner and the lady said the katzkins will be better. $2000 is better than 15k for another truck!

For the little cost of the upgrade I would just do it.

If Degreez is cooling, basically a fan that re-directs AC, make sure the leather seating part is perforated, usually higher grade. The heat kit alone doesn't need the tiny holes.

I got my Katzkins from eBay seller TouchUps, paid $500 after 10% generic eBay coupon. Another $80 for heat kit, and $20 for hog ring pliers/rings off Amazon, you can alternatively use twist ties. The leather is pretty thick like a couch, the pricepoint I paid the sides and back are maybe PU not sure, can't tell.

    http://www.ebaystores.com/Touch-Ups...319&_sid=21726729&_sop=2&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14

It was a bitch to install because the seats are completely removed and there's serious artisan pulling/tucking/steaming so they look factory and not like covers. I broke it down into a few days so my hands weren't wrecked. I can easily see someone charging another $500+ on top to install, although they're probably using a team.

I feel like it’s a good price. I read another thread that a guy in Texas paid $1500 for seats and then $1500 more for the degreez

Part of my quote is them having to replace my seat cushions for perforated ones. She said it’s no biggy.

I also saw another thread where a guy hooked up the floor vent under the seat with plastic tubing to the seats. It resulted in the A/C seats being 20 degrees cooler!

This price sounds about right to me. I paid around the $750 mark for my katzkins and installed myself. Add the install price you are paying plus the ~700 for the degrees set up and you are right around your quote.

I believe that the degreez system uses a peltier element to cool the air not the trucks ac system.

@Danimal86 is right. The Degreez is a completely separate system from the trucks A/C.

Would you still want perforation for maximum effectiveness? (that didn't come out right) ((that was kind of awkward too)).

Perforated seats are required for the Degreez system per Katzkins and my dealer. If I was simply adding an aftermarket heating pad I would not need the perforated insert

Local shop in OKC quoted me $1100 for the basic solid color for a double cab and $150 for each upgrade if you want to customize....or $300 more for the tech stitch.
