Did a full site-search and couldn't find anything specific about adding a kill switch to a 1st Gen. May have missed it though. Have watched various videos (Chris Fix and others) about installing one so not a mystery and plenty of experience working on vehicles, but before I jump in I was just wondering if any of the good folks here have installed one. Welcome any tips, hints and/or links.

Also reading up on installing an anti-theft relay which sounds easier so any tips on those would also be welcome.

    TIA!

I was interested in a kill switch when I bought my truck. But I ended up getting a Viper alarm. It cuts off power to the starter when armed, so sort of like a kill switch. But what I like about the Viper is....if you have a kill switch, the would-be thief won't know it until he's already broken your window to gain entry. With the Viper, if the thief checks the door handle to see if it is unlocked, the alarm triggers, hopefully sending the thief on to his next target.

But, if you're dead set on a kill switch, I found several Youtube videos showing how to install one easily going through the fuse to your fuel pump.

Good idea and good reasoning. Fixed income, but I’ll look into it.
