KMC rims and extended thread lugnuts

    So i've been using the FIRST link lugnuts with my KMC rims on my 22. Shop did a wheel rotation for me today and said there isnt enough thread contact and I should get extended thread lugnuts such as the SECOND link. I used the first link/style based on research and posts here.

    Legit concern?, did I buy the wrong ones? Does Gorilla make some in black, if so, p/n? I couldn't find any
