    Hey frens,

2008 2wd with 180k miles and needs new shocks on all 4 corners.

Considering the KYB strut plus for the front. I have heard some good and some bad about the cheaper strut assemblies.

I’m not scared of fooling with the spring but I do want a new strut mount while I’m there and the OEM strut mount alone is damn near what I can buy a strut plus for.

    TIA for any advice!

Apples to oranges, I have KYB AGX shocks on my Celica, with lowering springs and have been pretty happy with them last 3 years.. have used them since 2008. I replaced them 3 years ago, still happy with them...

KYB is great for light cars, but I prefer Bilstein 4600 shocks on my trucks.

I installed them all the way around on my 2007 Tundra about 3 years ago, and I just replaced the old 4600 series shocks on the front of my 2002 with brand new 4600's last week.

    That above^^

If you live in a truck modding area, just keep an eye in the used market for TRD blue or red take offs.
