Lamin-X yellow or amber fog lights?

I searched throughout this site and didn't see many trucks with the lamin-x tint on their fog lights. I know about rigid and baja designs, but not looking to spend that much right now. I'll be upgrading my headlights to the latest OEM style before I really upgrade my fogs. Anyone one here used yellow or amber colored tint on their fogs? Pictures? What other cost effective solutions exist? I like the look of the full-time color on the glass, rather then only when they are on.

 

I just put yellow lamin-x on my fog lights yesterday. No pictures yet, hoping to see how they light up over the weekend. I took the fog lights out of the bumper to clean them up and apply the film. It was about a 15-20 minute job to do both fog lights.

 

I just ordered 3000k led bulbs. But you can get that yellow glass spray paint stuff at craft stores and paint them or lamin-x them.

 

15-20 minutes is not bad at all.

 

Any pictures @hooter? How did you like the yellow tint?

 

I did the yellow lamin-x. Bought a sheet for $7, popped them out, super easy and totally reversible.

 

Yellow. Didn’t have to remove anything. Take your time applying.

 

I will say that with my OEM LED fogs, there is a slight greenish tint as the blue tinted light passes through the film, but it’s not that noticeable. I bought the universal kit and used the cardboard cylinder it came in as a template lol.

I had lamin-x on my rigid cubes for a week maybe. The yellow tint is nice and looks good.
But it’s not worth the amount of light output that you lose from it.

 

This is true that there is a reduction in light output. For me it works and the yellow tint comes in handy when the roads around where I live are wet and I can see the lines better (what little remain lol). The beauty of it is that I can peel of the film as you know at any time. EDIT: but it should be noted for other viewers that you cannot just reapply with same results lol.

 

Plenty of LED bulbs out there now that have the changeability in color from yellow to pale to white and back.

I have the lamin-x fog light film in yellow. I got the vled led fog light bulbs and I love the way they go together!! Do it you wont regret it. I think i paid 12 dollars for the film. Install was a breeze.

 

Are the 2018+ Toyota OEM LED foglight bulbs replaceable? Looks like an integrated unit and why I didn’t just change bulbs yet. I’m hoping I’m wrong because that would be better option.

 

I’m not sure as I’m a 1st Gen Specialist.
