My 2023 limited has Lane assist and it shows its turned on full sensitivity but it does nothing. It did work for the first two months I owned the truck.

Maybe your truck is just trying to keep an open mind.

Or maybe after all this time he never departed his lane so the truck decided it was not necessary?! Gets my vote.

Lane assist is supposed to work with radar cruise.

This. I rarely use it, but IIRC it must be enabled and is only active when using cruise control.

There are two different systems being confused here. Lane Departure Assist can be turned on anytime with the wheel button. It warms you first if you cross a lane line without signaling. If you continue it gives the wheel a slight nudge to move you off the line. Lane Centering Assist only works when Radar Cruise is being used (as was said in this thread). It tries to keep you centered in your lane based on the lane lines. *Be careful with this one if in the slow lane on a Hwy and you pass an off ramp. It will split the left lane line with the off-ramp line and put you right into the gore point.

Lane departure assist does not require being on cruise. Lane centering assist does. There are different indicators on the display to show when each is active and locked on... or not locked on.

    Both features kinda suck, IMO.

Lane tracing assist tries to prevent you from shifting lanes, if you don’t use your turn signal.

Lane centering pinballs side to side in a very annoying and nauseating manner. It’s like a drunk driver is behind the wheel.

And what’s the point? Shouldn’t the goal be to make people safer drivers? Why provide features that allow them to be even more distracted?

Get off my lawn rant over.

    Matt
