My 2006 Tundra needs new leaf springs but cannot find OEM bumper stops anywhere. What can replace the 48306-04010 OEM bumper stops?

I saw that, but that one is out of stock (hence only "watch"), and the only in-stock one is twice as much at $72 :(

Meanwhile, it would appear BA03T is in a forum vacation for politics or something (edit: nope, gay slur or something).

I searched through a number of rear leaf spring Hilux chassis configurations and I found this spring mounted Hilux bump stop. This is could the ticket.

That's the one I came up with above as well, it was the only one that made sense to me based on the description. May have to wait for @badass03taco to come back from vacation to find out for sure :D

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have the SR5 Double Cab 4WD. I went ahead and ordered some 48306-35110's and we'll see how it goes.

Loop back and let us know, this is definitely interesting for me. I'll be swapping out a leaf pack and installing new u-bolts soon, and I'm all about installing taller bump stops while I'm in there.

I was about to do the same but my truck sits only about a .5" reverse rake. So generalKC HD's it is; since they advertise only about an 1" of lift.

I'll probably look into these bump stops as well while I'm in the nieghborhood

Nice! I didn't know that was a thing. Cool they give you new shackles and other hardware. Looks like a pretty good deal. You'll ride 1.5"-2" higher in rear after.

Welcome back! Was it you who used the Hilux bumps? You got measurements from base to tip on those? ("just the tip")

@The Goat did you get your parts in yet?

i only made one post on the day i was b&
i literally had no clue what i posted that warranted the ban
i just checked my posts and i posted something about a trans cooler in a towing thread on April 12th.
The only thing i posted on the 13th was about a guys truck with high mileage.
i was mad for a few days, then confused, now i simply dont care.

Yes i used the Hilux bump stops when i did my stuff. That part number you found is the correct part number. I recall sitting them side by side with the OEM and it might be like 7/8" taller or 1" taller its real close. I went searching for a taller bump stop because (1) i tow all the time (2) i would rather hit a bump stop than invert my springs like you see many of the 1st gen Tacomas and any 1st gen Tundra loaded heavy so i wanted to find a leaf pack with the same width and a bump stop slightly taller. It may not be exactly 1.00" but its REAL close to exactly 1" taller. The Hilux shared the same width leaf spring, as does all the earlier US stateside Pickup line. There were different height bump stops but that double cab Hilux was the bump stop that was taller than ours.

I saw the notification for this thread in email earlier so I took pix but was too busy to sit down and chat.
I am very happy with what they do and how they work. I have never actually felt myself hit the bump stops but it appears I’m hitting them occasionally. Maybe in flexing situations or maybe on big bumps. My truck actually rides like a dream I am very happy with how it rides. As you see it is how it stays primarily all the time. Since the beginning of April I’ve only unhooked from this trailer maybe twice and that was to park the truck in the shop since we had bad storms and the news was saying we had hail coming. Otherwise this trailer stays hooked to this truck like this.

    1267AF43-A381-4BFE-8C06-F71BE853258A.jpg

Also: this truck was one of the ones you see driving down the road where the rear end looks like it’s +4” higher than the front. The rear was so high. I added the ICON add-a-leaf which is “supposed” to give me +1.5” and I also added a 2.5” drop shackle. My intentions were to stiffen up the rear for added weight since I practically stay hooked to a trailer but also lower the rear end some cause it was too high. So, this does not correctly show you where a standard stock vehicle would be with these taller Hilux bump stops but it should effectively show you where they would be if your tire was that close to your fender.

so here is the truck box stock the day it was purchased. Then loaded with the same trailer and rig. When it was stock the rear end was SOO high and when you loaded it, it actually sagged in the rear. It was squatting close to 4” loaded.
With the changes I’ve made, it sits lower at ride height unloaded and it sits practically level when loaded and rides great.

I'll have to report back soon since I haven't towed with my Tundra yet, but I installed Sumo springs a month or so back. I'm sure other people here run them. I had airbags in my Tacoma, now Sumos in the Tundra, so the bump stops go away anyway.

I remembered this thread when I was taking my OEM bump stops off. Thought maybe someone would want them. But one of them peeled away from the metal base as soon as I took it off, so unfortunately they wouldn't have been any good for anyone.

Definitely excited to see how the Tundra tows my trailer. Will only be a couple weeks at most before I finally find out. Was tracking down a blinker that wasn't working first.

I’ve got Sumo springs and am very happy with them - extra support for loads without a stiffer ride the rest of the time. A way less expensive and easy to install upgrade from a full set of stiffer springs if you don’t need the beefy carrying capacity full-time.

Also a less expensive option than airbags. They're great, but they aren't cheap, and even aired down pretty far, they still affect ride quality.

I ordered some 48306-35110 from Part Souq they fit fine. There’s even a molding line in the rubber where if you cut it then it would be the same heighth as a stock one.

Ah the pointy top, like the whole inch at the top. I don’t remember if mine had that or not, maybe so but it’s been like 2 years ago so I can’t really say for certain.
