    Hello all,

I’ll first start by saying what a great resource this forum has been. There’s alot of great info and friendly folks here. Thank you. I fruitlessly searched for an answer, but came up empty handed. I’ll admit though, I’m not super forum savvy. I’ll apologize in advance if I missed the answer in an old thread.
Some rodents of unusually large size have made there way on top of my fuel tank and enjoyed a buffet of the feed and return lines coming off the pump. They may not have been of an unusually large size but effective at the destruction of my fuel lines non the less. The truck in question is a 2004 Tundra, 2wd, regular cab, 3.4l, five speed. The supply side coming off the tank is still available from Toyota for $25. Unfortunately the return side has been discontinued and I couldn’t find one. Fortunately Toyota made those two lines short and relatively easily accessible. Does anyone have experience replacing the short rigid molded plastic return fuel line coming off the top of the fuel tank without a factory line? I saw some fittings that looked similar at the auto parts store. I was also thinking of using some fuel injection rated rubber line with fuel injection type clamps. I figured it might be alright since it’s the return side. Any expertise would be greatly appreciated or even a link to an old thread I missed. Thank you in advance.

If rubber lines will fit nicely over both ends and clamp safely, that would work fine.

Preferably far enough on (at least 3/4") and with a ridge or barb past the hose clamp.

Depending on the fitting, you may be able to remove the old plastic line and slide the hose onto the OEM fitting, then clamp it.

    Got pics?

I’ll get some pics tomorrow. I’m leaning towards going the route you’re talking about. I like the idea of reusing the original fittings. Thanks
