Retrofit makes great stuff. I would also check out morimito.

Those are OEM Toyota lights. You can definitely do better on the price and find a better harness. Check out @iHacker for a harness and @Roman for lights.
If you keep your eyes peeled here in the for sale subforum, you will likely find some lightly used OEM LED headlights for under 500, I have seen as low as 400. A lot of guys are swapping out their chrome or smoked chrome housing lights for the black housing TRD pro version.
Morimoto makes a cool looking aftermarket set but they are over $1k and seem to have a few bugs still.
Check out the lighting section, there are a bunch of helpful threads

I thought the Morimito's headlights were expensive until someone backed in to my wife's BMW. The headlight for a 528i cost $2000, that is for 1 not the pair. Thank god it was the other guys fault.

Take a semi gloss black spray can and paint that stuff behind your grill! :)

I had one just like that myself and I never could get use to seeing all the stuff behind it. Even blacked out. Added the pro grill.

The best upgrades for early gen3's is the pro grill and the 19 pro OEM headlights from Roman.

so it comes out to be much cheaper by about $60 - $90 compared to retro lights and others

If you arent in a rush, keep in eye on the 3rd gen for sale threads. I have seen some deals lately for OEM LEDs around $400, especially if you aren't dead set on the black housing pro version. I have the "smoked chrome sport" version. Also added morimoto fogs, but OEM LED fogs are better, the Japan OEM version not the "oem accessory" version.

I like the OEM versions better than I thought...incredibly better light output and about $500 less then Morimoto's versions...

A good HID or even LED retro will likely have better output, all depends on how much you wanna spend and what look you want. I personally like the OEM LED look better than retros, but @BlueRibbon4x4 is starting g to change my mind on the look of retros, he made a couple beautiful sets. Probably cost closer to the morimoto LEDs than OEM LEDs, but for the look and output they would be worth it, I'd buy a set from him over morimoto for sure.
There is also these https://alpharexusa.com/product/14-19-toyota-tundra-pro-series-projector-headlights-jet-black/ and they make a more expensive version too. They look great but are very new and unproven. I would wait for reviews and long term reliability on those and that would be at least a year for me.

I tried the aftermarket LEDs in my 14s. None of them put out as much little as the newer OEM LEDs from Toyota. The reflector stays the same. The new OEM design and reflectors are much better. At least that is my penny.

The reason I am getting the headlights is to match my new bumper RoughCountry cube LED fogs in color output

I hear ya man. When I got new headlights I could not stand that my halogen fogs didn't match. I tried yellow bulbs first for greater contrast but they were way too dim, so I ended up getting LED fogs to match light output color. Your fogs are much better than mine lol, they look great on there and bright too

My fogs are way too bright. I need to re aim them more down and wide. Right now I blind everyone on the road. Wish I made adjustments before putting them on while bumper was off. But I will tell you they work great during foggy drives and cut through fog very well. Now to get LED headlights

After that perhaps add grill led light bar and hood bulge led bar

@SiberianTundra I meant to say I bought from his takes off when he replaced his XB Morimotos headlights. Yotaman is a member of tundras forum. Sorry for the confusion.

Having had the OEM LEDs for almost a month on mine, there is definitely a huge improvement, not only in brightness but in light dispersion as well. Best route you can go considering the cost of other options.
AS others have suggested, fi you are not in a rush, keep an eye out the classifieds very good deals pop up every now and then

Wow....That's a really clean cut off and they are plenty bright. How's the width of the light? I wish my OEM LEDs cast a wider spread of light, the fog lights help but those could be wider too

I can see the side cutoff of the beam on both sides of a 6 lane interstate at night. The sharp cutoff is nice, however I come from many projector retrofits back in the day with an emphasis on clear lenses and spacing to get it just right. It may or may not cause some eye fatigue for someone that isnt used to the sharp cutoff compared to OEM LEDs

Next time I get the chance, I'll try to get some night pics of going through a few different tunnels

Yota - you are in an 18 correct? Any TSS errors after installing these morimotos?
