I know LEDs and HIDs aren't supposed to go in Halogen housings, but I just saw a thread where someone posted pictures of their morimoto 2stroke 3.0 LED headlights in what I believe we're factory halogen reflectors. The cut off looked clean and it got me wondering.

Has anyone found any high output bulbs that work in halogen housings? Would I get good results from the morimoto bulbs in my 07? I don't want to blind anyone, I just want to improve my visibility at night.

I have LED bulbs in the OEM housings on both my 2002, and my 2007 Tundra - no problems.

    S-V.4 with proper cut-off

Same here but different by bulbs in my 2019. I went with an Amazon purchased set of bulbs for about $50. Did my Fogs too.

No issues with blinding anyone and much better light and look. It was an easy choice vs $1000 for new headlights.

Awesome, this is good news. Now I just need a set of fog light housings. This is gunna be way cheaper than replacing my headlights.

    You need housings or bulbs?

The fogs were super easy, 5 minutes each. They pop out from the front, you disconnect a wire, unclip something, pop the new bulb in and the clip etc. Per usual, I disconnected my battery before working on the lights.

The hardest part was getting the clip to release. I found pushing the entire housing IN (instead of pulling out) while it was connected, gave me enough room to get my hand in there. If you try and pull it out, it doesn't come out all the way and blocks the housing so you can't fit a normal sized hand in there.

I need housings. My truck didn't come with fog lights. I guess I'll need a wiring harness and a switch too
