Has anybody had to replace one of these? I was painting mine on a ladder and fell against the open window and pushed it back in. The crank arms are now broken and pop out of the track and I can’t pull it closed all the way. I can’t find anything on YT or any other tutorial videos for this system. I found the crank but I don’t think it comes with the piece on the window. I’m not sure if the piece on the window has to be replaced with it.

I see truck outfitters sells them. Mine is also broken. Looks like some rivets holding it together?

Yeah. Just getting to this today. I have the part now but these are rivets. I’ve never messed with them. Time for a little YT and a new tool I guess…

Did the new rivets come with the part?

No. I went to Lowe’s and bought a riveting kit. It was a learning curve with removal and re-installation. I had to pull the entire flange off the window trim. I tried to rivet the window crank to the flange while it was still on the trim piece but I didn’t get it in there well enough. The first bit of tension put on it popped those right out.

So I drilled the small rivets out of the flange and pulled it from the trim piece. Then I was able to put proper force on the rivet and it popped secure. Installing the crank into the window slot was easy but then I had an issue with the flange blocking the rivet gun. There was a 90 degree turn just over the holes that prevented the gun from sitting flush over the rivet and hole. Luckily, I keep all manner of screws and I had some left over from my days in construction. They fit perfect and they happened to be black too so they matched.
