Wondering if anyone knows what thread/size info I need for the rear plate on my 2019 Tundra? Looking to get some stainless screws WITH torx or similar head on them (to add a bit more security after having my plate stolen recently). Anything to avoid the headache of a trip the DOL!

Take one out and bring it to Home Depot. They have a sizer by the hardware isle.

My 2018 came with coarse thread plastic screws (mostly stripped of course). I used a couple of these and some M6X1.0 black washer body bolts.

I got some security screws at the autoparts place (Advanced Auto or Autozone) It has a star pin head.

They also have these one-way screws which are great for theft deterrent, but it makes it difficult if you need to take of your own plate. I prefer the star pin head.

They are self tapper screws and believe they just screw into the plastic if I recall. Just take one out and hit up lowes, they usually have a ton of choices for stainless screws, should be super easy to find one with a similar shank/length size.

found this on the webs- and usually most autos use fasteners in the 1 to 1.25 or 1.5 range for the plates.
    1 x 0.5 x 0.5 inches

Toyota. A recommended license plate screw for Toyota vehicles is 1 x 0.5 x 0.5 inches.

Self-tap on the front, not the rear...if I recall correctly?
