    Working on a Lift
I all - first post here (just found this awesome place) and am hoping for some advice to improve the ride I have after doing a lift. I have done a 2.5" bilsten 5100 on stock springs in the front and 1" spacer in the rear to create a slight rake. For tires I have Ridge Grappler 35x12.5 load range F.

The truck is a 2021 XSP which had 275/55/R20 grapplers on it and I have kept the rims. This setup rode so well wiht the stock suspension and the new setup does not ride anywhere near as well. I can feel every crack and paint stripe on the road.

I have been searching the internet for info and also talking to my tire/lift guy and some friends that have lifted their tundras. So far the following seems to be my best bet without upgrading to Fox or similar:
Suspension - change to Eibach (no sure exactly which model) in the front for a softer ride as I hear they are softer than Bilstens. Question - will this be able to give me the same 2.5" lift with my stock springs? I don't want the front any lower as the rake will start to be too much. I also did BDS upper control arms.
Tires - select a lower load range tire. I have heard the Toyo OC AT3 12.5 x 35 in load range C ride well. Hoping to stay with the 12.5x35 but would go smaller if the above tires won't do much.

Any advice is much appreciated thank you!

I would swap out the spring for an actual lift spring, Dobinsons, OME or an Eibach ( I like Eibach) and set the shock to the lowest setting.

My first step would be drop to no more than a load range e tire and run about 30 to 35 psi. If that doesn’t get you a soft enough ride then look at suspension changes

Also an 18” rim will give much more tire shoulder which rides better and is actually usable off road. 20’s are for mall crawlers unless you’re running like a 40” tire

Agreed but I love the look of these rims and I already own then soo I'm trying to make them work. We live in Florida so my very ocasional light off roading is just sand or mud, no rocks or crazy trails unfortunately.

Do you have your front shocks maxed out for lift? I know you don't want to lower the front but being maxed out l on your front shocks could be cause for a rougher ride also 20s are adding to the issue. So it sounds from your responses you may not be willing to do what it takes to smooth out the ride.

This helped considerably - went to a Toyo RC AT3 295/60/20 and it got me nboticably closer to where I wanted to be. Still goingto do the Eibach coil overs though.

Yes they are maxed out and thats likely a large issue and hence the Eibach coil overs which can get me 2.25" and stll be 1/2" from maxed out. Also the tire change above made a noticible difference.
