Existing Lift kit when bought used. Dont have lift amt or brand lift kit. 18 inch Cooper Discovery on Worx wheels.
Bought used 2010 w/lift kit...nobody knows how many inches lift and has been breaking Autozone CV axles left + right. Stupid mechanics here in my area in Missouri.
I'd like to know how to figure the lift amount verses original factory equipment. What procedure do you use to figure the lift amt.
Riding on Cooper Discovery Wild Trail CTX 18" tires (LT295-70R-18 129/1260 M&S) on Worx alloy rims.
Need this info to get CV axles with enough flex and length to avoid breakage. My research calls to lots of parts providers says the regular CV Axles are made for only up to 2 inch lifts. Guessing mine is above 2" inches so CV axles grind when turning & end up breaking.
    HELP me if you can.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, and welcome.
There are others far more expert at this than I am...
However I think I can safely say some pics of the front suspension would be really useful!

Measure from the center of the hub to the fender, and compare to this post (before columns):
