Had a deposit on a Limited Double Cab that finally made it to a local dealer. Still not sure I'm going to end up buying, as my 14 DC was already getting too small for the family and the new ones are even smaller in the back...

Anyways, if I end up with it in the end, my plan is to throw a Westcott Designs 3/1 and new wheels, probably 18s with 35s...

I've seen plenty of Crewmax models in this config, but I don't think I've seen a single DC lifted... Where are they all at? Let's see them!

Haha. You must not be looking very hard because I can think of 4 or 5 of us that are pretty active on the forums with lifted DCs.

I think many of us who have thrown a spacer lift, are biding our time waiting on suspension lifts to hit the market. I’m running a 2” spacer up front until I decide on which suspension lift I’m gonna go with.

Check out @evergreenoffroad. He’s running Westcott up front, I believe.

Hey guys, yeah here's my lifted double cab. I'm running the westcott kit up front 3" and a Frankenstein dobinsons rear from an 80 series LC. IMS shocks and 2" coil. Also running a 200 series trackbar.

Looks great! Not to totally sidetrack the thread, but maybe you could lend some advice.

At what point weight wise would one need to go beyond just a Westcott 3/1 to prevent squat/sag?

I'm stuck in the middle of flatsville Ohio, so wont be doing any major overlanding/offroading. But I would like to get a set of crossbars and a budget friendly RTT for weekend camping around these parts. Any ideas as far as budget friendly RTTs would also be welcomed. Don't want to totally break the bank just to find out the family doesn't enjoy it as much as I would. Thank!

The only reason I went with my Dobinsons setup is that I plan to add ~750lbs of gear between my Alucab Cabin camper and cabinets, gear, fridge, etc.

I think the Westcott 3/1 kit would be fine for a set of crossbars and an RTT. It shouldn't sag at all really. The below tent only weighs 108lbs.

We have these available. DM me if you want a quote.

I was merely testing to ensure that you 3rd gen guys were paying adequate attention and could be trusted to carry the torch going forward. I'll mark that as a "pass." As you were...

I had seen his, love the Army Green… Lunar Rock is #1 for me, but I wouldn’t turn the green down either… Both look killer with bronze wheels…

I will probably go with 18” Black Rhino Rapids in bronze, wrapped in 35s or similarly sized “standard” tires… we will see…
