So far lifted struts and upgraded the front suspension. (Control arms and Ball joints)
    Hey All,

A few months ago I rebuilt my front suspension, LCAs, and UCAs, as well as both ball joints. While I was at it I wanted to lift my truck, so I got some 2.5" struts. Now that I have some time I would like to lift the rear as well, and it looks like getting some upgraded leaf springs is my best option as I have a decent amount of weight in the back from a camper I built back there. I was thinking about just doing a 2" lift for the leaf springs, but I'm curious if I should match it and do 2.5" in the rear as well.

So my main question is when I add the new leaf springs will I need to replace the shocks as well? Is there anything else I should consider when doing this upgrade?
Since I am planning on buying heavy-duty leaf springs, is it worth also getting solid shock absorbers such as Bilstein 5160s, or will a more budget-friendly set do the trick?

Also looking for some recommendations for parts if you have something that has worked well for you.

    Thanks for any help

Call Alcan Springs and ask for Lew. He will get some weights and other info from you and give you a quote. He will build springs to support your load and lift height. Tell him that you will need ubolts and shackles as well.

Alcon is a good option, as is Deaver. Call both and see who can get you set up best.

I use Deaver U748 in my 2018 CrewMax and it’s a heavy pig. Zero complaints with the springs.
