Going to get the heritage TRD grill to put on my 22 Platinum. I want to also install a lightbar at the same time. Looking for some recommendations, or should I just get the Toyota branded one? Also, any suggestions on where to install a switch to power it? Wondering if I can get a replacement for the 3 switches to the right of the hazard light switch since those are just solid plastic on the Platinum?

That lightbar looks nice but I was hoping to get something a little more affordable if possible. I was looking at adding Dark Defense 20" light bar and pod lights.

Diode is the best for the price.

you can’t get a switch where you mentioned, but you can get an oem style switch on the panel left of the wheel. That’s where most do it. Search the forum and you’ll find almost unlimited info on this topic.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that brand so I don’t know much of their quality and performance.

I’d stick with Diode Dynamics (best bang for the buck), Baja Designs, and Rigid Industries to name a few established brands that are frequently mentioned on the forums. These companies sell kits with everything you need for our truck.

I used these guys on my 2nd gen. Nice and bright, plug and play.

    Another vote for Diode Dynamics.

I've used them on several previous builds and always been satisfied. Also, get the Pro version over the Sport if it's an option in the light you're looking at. It's worth the extra money. I haven't researched their heritage grill lightbar yet, but I have other lightbars from them and their pod lights in several sizes.

You can wire the Diode light bar to the TRD Pro factory light bar switch?
