I'm looking for some lightweight wheels to pair with some tall skinny highway tires for long hauls.

I don't have the cash for TE37s or Lightspeed racing wheels.

So far the best deal I've found is on FN Konig Countersteers. About $1000 for 20lb wheels.

Anyone know of lighter wheels around the same price point, or cheaper wheels at the same weight?

These will be going on my Silverado, but it just so happens that 3rd gen Tundra wheels will fit. The GMC forums haven't been any help.

For a couple pounds, I think you’re better off saving weight in the tires. Find light weight highway tread tires in the lightest load capacity you can get away with. I wouldn’t go taller than stock, as you’ll lose more MPG to the added weight and mechanical disadvantage of the fall tires than you’ll gain with lower rpm.

Unless you just want new wheels, you’ll need to rack up millions of miles before the savings related to lighter wheels maths out in the fuel economy realm.

Small light tires and drive like an old lady. Haul as little weight as you can.

If I get the FN wheels and new highway tires I can save something like 33lbs per corner. My stock wheels are 41lbs. Looking at highway tires, if I go down to a 235/70R17 I can save another 10lbs. I can't find any highway tires lighter than 30 lbs though.

    Not enough....
You'll be happy with FN wheels. I have a different version of their wheels on my 2016 Tundra. The quality is great and their customer service is top notch too. Just make sure since these are going on your Chevy that the hub size and back spacing will work for you. Even if the bolt pattern is the same, there are other variables to consider.
