How uncomfortable are the limited tundra seats really? Always heard bad things about them. Really researching what trim I want before I pull trigger on tundra. Thanks guys

Well they aren't great. Get the Platinum, you'll be much happier.

I bought my 2020 Limited in March and I think the seats (drivers seat) are very comfortable, in fact in recent years I've been having some leg discomfort and hasn't bothered me in my Tundra. I haven't sat on the Platinum seat, but I do think the Platinum seats look much nicer.

Why don't you test drive all candidates and come to your own conclusion.

I have a plat. and they are very comfortable. I don't know if they are any more comfortable than a limited tho. one thing I noticed going from a 4runner to a tundra is that the seats are really wide and I find myself sliding around the seat while turning. However I had cloth seats in the 4runner and I will take leather all day simply for the ease of cleaning.

I really like my Limited seats. Some folks like a hard mattress. Some like a soft mattress. Same with seats. I find my Limited seats to be quite comfortable. Limited seats have split grain leather and Platinum's have more expensive full grain leather.

I think seat type for comfort has to do with your body type, etc. The limited seats I guess are relatively stiff but my Tundra is the most comfortable vehicle I've ridden in. It took a little while to find the exact seat adjustments though.

I did 22 hours in one day which was part of a 14 day 5500 mile trip. Never once was my wife or I uncomfortable.

I liked the Limited seats when I sat in them. They are a little former compared to other manufacturers. The seats in my Platinum are awesome though. For me they were quite a bit more comfortable.

Full grain leather is more supple but unless different seat padding and springs are used for the Platinum seats than with the Limited I can't see why Platinum full grain leather could be that much softer...

Does anyone know how the seats compare to the leather seats in a 4runner? They're pretty firm, and I like that.

We have a 4 runner limited. I am a pretty tall and large feller. The side pads and Bolton raised sides on the 4Runner are pretty skinny. It "squeezes" my thighs, butt, and back.

The Tundra leather seats are so much wider and I can sit back in them more.

As far as firmness goes, the limited and 4Runner will be very very similar. Platinum seats are a little softer. Both the cushion firmness and the leather is a little softer and more supple. Hope that helps.

Thanks, that is helpful! I think I'll like the limited leather then!

No such thing as too firm for me. My wife refers to my college mattress as 'rock'

haha, the limited leather will suit you just fine. It is still pretty comfortable! If you ever sit in a Ram they are real soft, big, and cushiony!!!

In regards to the RAM....soft and cushiony go hand in hand. Especially when waiting in line at the Fiat dealer waiting for it to get fixed...ha!

I ended up with the Platinum, not because of the leather but the power passenger seat...the limited didnt have a power passenger seat when I was looking at that was "unacceptable" to my wife....as far as comfort. I did, however, find the limited seats comfortable.

I'm glad my 14 Limited doesn't have the power passenger seat. Something else for my grandson to mess with me....ha!
