Nice! Do you know of any boxes that will work for an aftermarket Pioneer that has AA and Carplay? I have one and use the Motorola adapter that makes it wireless. I would love to have streaming on it.

I have a Firestick setup on my Kenwood. If you were interested I could walk ya through how I got it working. Pretty painless...
What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?
I will add, the touchscreen functionality doesn't work, you have to use a remote...which does suck. But it streams =)

Thanks George!… unfortunately I’m not much help there, this is my first go around with any kind of streaming box like this… This company says all you need is CarPlay in the vehicle for this to work, obviously as long as you have a USB or USB-C connection to plug it into… I hear their customer service is great, you can always shoot them a message to find out for sure!…sorry I couldn’t be more help on this!

Will the Binize allow you to just mirror the iphone screen? I don't really need streaming, but I would like to be able to see shared screens on Microsoft Teams meetings (as I write that, I realize my priorities are messed up...). I drive frequently between OR and CA. I would not do this while driving as it's obviously unsafe. But if I could pull over to join calls where it's critical for me to be able to see a screen, that would be awesome. Otherwise, I need to pull out the laptop, connect to a hotspot, contort my body to see it, etc.

    Thanks.

There are screen mirroring apps in the App Store that will do that on any CarPlay device.

Thanks for that suggestion. I tried searching articles for "iphone mirroring app" and most of them just talk about CarPlay. I'll keep searching, but if anyone has a suggestion for an app they use now for this, I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks.

Try telling Siri that you'd like to share your screen. That works with Bixby in Samsung.

I can confirm the linked video is awesome and the item linked in it works great in 2023 Tundra and iPhone SE. video instructions were super helpful and the device is on sale right now. This is awesome as I can express how annoying it was to have a big screen that I can’t even use when parked to watch video or whatever. Worth every penny.

This sounds like what I need, but I really want to be able to mirror MS Teams from my phone to the big Tundra screen. Do you think the Binize will let me mirror whatever is on the iphone? I'm thinking I might try it in any case. Right now, I pretty much get to see the name of the person I talk to on the phone on 80 pt type or whatever... Maps are nice, no doubt, but it could do so much more!

Problem is all the dumbasses trying to do so much more while driving , it should stay locked out unless your in park imo , but that doesn’t mean much obviously

The 7600 has a micro HDMI port. I used a micro HDMI to HDMI cable.

That was an older post. I bought the 7600 a few months after that. I'm just glad that the new firmware made the responsiveness a little better.

Another route, that I’ve not tried is you can jailbreak your iPhone to allow all apps to be available. Like Netflix, YouTube and all that good stuff.

I’ll see if I can find the link. But you must jailbreak your phone.

I want it for parked and it’s silly they didn’t program it so we could use it like that. When parked it’s a useless 14” screen I can’t do anything but run the radio. Had to watch nfl games on my phone while the kids were playing at the trampoline park on my phone.

I totally agree. I do not quite understand why the Tundra does not do this--let you mirror the screen if the truck is in Park. I drive back and forth to CA from OR frequently, would like to be able to stop for certain calls where I need to see documents someone is sharing.

@billberner The box uses droid for it's OS. it has a function to use carplay with the box however that is just like normal carplay. With the box connected to my phone for wifi hotspot I installed teams and it works perfectly like normal teams. I tested it with a meeting with my laptop an I could see everything in the truck that I was displaying in the teams meeting on my laptop so this would 100% work. the only thing you can't do is display video with it of course. There probably is a droid app that will mirror an iphone on to it as another option but this worked really well for me and honestly gives you the better screen to type on and such instead of mirroring the phone and typing on the phone so I really liked it.

Yes sir, it's actually a decent chunk cheaper, and still performing better than the Binize! (Not that the Binize was bad, I used it for months and loved it)...for anyone wondering what it is, here's my video on the new box...use code Z18 and you'll get it for a good amount less than the Binize

This is the pre Gen3 group on how to make a truck less complicated and I don't like having to push a button when I back up a 4 wire trailer?
