I have a 2018 Tundra Crew Cab and want a high end 3 way Active system.... these are the speakers i have narrowed it down to .. Focal Kx3 K2 3 way , JL Audio C7 3 way or Audiofrog GB 3 way..... which of these 3 sets would you put in your car . I listen to mostly Rock and 80's 90's music
I will be running the the JL Audio VXI 8 channel amp with built in DSP or the Audio Control 6 channel 1200 watt amp with DSP
I will be using a Pioneer 8600 NEX 10.1 stereo and i have the JL TW3 Stealth Box with 10 JL Audio 10's in it with a 1200 watt amp already.

    100% audiofrog GB series.

Look into the helix v eight. With that caliber of speakers going in, don't cheap out on the dsp.

I'm running the helix dsp pro MK2, it's really good. Helix is one of the top brands imo.

I see no mention of sound deadening, that is 100% necessary

We did both my last vehicles pretty good. taking all the seats out of the truck and doing the inside of the doors and outer doors and behind the back seat and some of the floor . I ordered 2 packs of stinger extreme 36 SQ last night and the sound rings also . looking at getting the 18 pack of black hole sound deading tiles also.

The Focal K2 are very nice, personally I think they sound better than the C7s

I had the K2s in my 4runner and i think you are right i have the C7 3 way in the Camaro and while it does sound good i think the Focals just edge them out in the Highs for sure . thats why i am leaning towards the Focal ES 165KX3 Elite K2's now .

I'm running audiofrogs in my 3 way active setup. They aren't the gb series (I'll end up with them eventually), I took the g60s component that I already had been running and ditched the crossovers and added a gs25. They are being run off two JL hd900/5 and two JL 10tw3's in a ported box (I had the stealth box before that).
I just de a retune on my system and am very happy with the sound.

All 3 are really nice speakers, I have not personally heard the Audiofrogs but a couple of my buddies swear by them and are using them for their next builds.

I ended up finding a deal for 1199.99 for new Focal KX3's so i had to go with that setup was like 1k off . I spoke with Andy from Audiofrog and he seemed like a nice guy and answered some questions for me but when it came down to it 1k dollars pays for my amp/dsp so i had to swing Focal which are Great speakers also

oh no i have a custom shop that does all that for me he has done my last two builds really great work... I am not sure if i want to use the pods or the tweeter location already there and the JBL spot in the dash for the mid and high, for sure the 6.5 in the door .. i am debating doing 2 sets of the 6.5s in the door i like more base and have 2 extra channels on the 8 channel amps i am looking at .

I went K2 all around including the back. The only thing I feel is lacking is the center speaker, I may end up adding one back in.

    2 sets?

Ive heard of people running just a midbass driver in the rear doors. Would be fine if you don't have people in the back seats. Personally, I run a passive set of components in the rear as I have passengers back there occasionally.

I ran my teeters in the sail panels and the 2.5s in the dash corners.

I would narrow it down to Audio frog or focal first. From there you'd have to hear them, but either one is still a good choice.

Nothing against the jl components. I just loke what ive read about the other two more.

    Focal ES 165K
Elite K2 Power Series 6-1/2" component speaker system

Crutchfiled says these only fit in the rear doors - can I make them work? I am assuming they are the same size
