Last night I was getting on the freeway, as I went down the ramp and merged in, I was At about 55 mph and all of a sudden it felt like I had a flat tire but couldn’t accelerate. Then the check engine light came on, so I got off at next exit and it just coasted at about 20 mph. It didn’t completely die, but I couldn’t go past 20mph. I could brake and accelerate back up to 20mph. I pulled over, shut off the truck. Checked oil, air filters- looked normal. I turned back on and revved up fine. After about 15 mins I tried again and it worked just fine. I filled up with gas yesterday. Normally I use Valero or Costco which is top tier- but yesterday I filled up with circle k.
    Any idea what could be

No mechanical noises (clanking/knocking) coming from the engine huh?
Is your truck part of the engine recall?

Sounds like it could be a transmission issue. Possibly torque convertor. If it’s doing it continuously, it’s definitely a mechanical issue that needs to be checked out.

A buddy that has a third gen said his did same thing when he first got his , and never did it again. Apparently it was an ECU issue

It did. That’s usually not something you want to leave unattended to. It can put you in a bad situation, for instance trying to merge and you come to a halt on the highway

Happens sometimes. Check your codes. Your gonna see Cyclinder Misfire codes. Reset them and drive on. Another on here just posted the same issue and thought he’d lost his engine.
