You might try the search box feature and see what you can find.

No, go to the dealership and they can make a new key.

Kinda depends on what year your truck is and if you have a keyed or push-button start.

If you bought the keyed truck new they should have given you the key code.
It's a small metal tab that came with your keys.

    qylk01va_6ca7cf7a98f6f926633899f6f8a5d624098c138e.jpg

Also, some articles say you can find it on your driver's door lock cylinder.
I have no idea if this is true..

How to remove the lock cylinder

As well the dealer can use the VIN, but the key transponder will have to be reprogrammed..
It may have to be reprogrammed with ANY new Toyota key.

I lost my keys. How do I obtain the key code number? (toyota.com)

I know nothing about digital keys, but I did find this.

How do I share my Digital Key? (toyota.com)

    Welcome to the forum..

This is a double edged sword of sorts, cuz I believe it allows basically anyone to get a key made and easily drive off with the vehicle. Luckily I have a secondary anti theft system.

The dealer will require proof of ownership to make a new key..
They aren't going to make a key for any Joe Blow that shows up with a Toyota vehicle..

I would think a valid insurance card (with the VIN on it) might work.
If not, the original bill of sale or state registration.

I think it might depend on the dealership and the individual. Pretty sure I remember seeing some stories a few years back where it was in fact an issue. Plus that, it's rather easy nowadays to create pretty realistic fake documents and unfortunately some $12/hour hands won't think twice about it.

Considering the price paid in Aug/Sept ??, I would have to consider going back to the Dealer(Bill Penny Toyota ??) and doing my best in talking your sales person into helping you out on the price. Who knows, they might even give you a 1 time only Military Christmas deal of a free key.

BTW....Thanks for your service, good luck !

However you solve the problem, have two extra keys made and then keep one stashed on your truck in one of these. Always amazed at how many people do not have an extra key hidden on their truck.

+1 for stashed keys. Dont rely on the magnet, use zipties.

mine is sandwiched inside some aluminum hvac tape. Graphite greased before being sealed.

I have never had an issue with magnetic holders. I have had many zip ties degrade and fail over time. YMMV

    This

Hell - aside from keys - try getting a catalytic converter or some other specialty parts without a VIN fro parts these days on just about any brand.

Certain males are very tight in their supply chains and/or proud of those special badges and features they offer on their vehicles and want to make sure no low life’s start hoarding up limited parts and charging a profit above MSRP or placing a bunch of fancy headlights, heads up displays/blind spot sensors or emblems on base models to make it look like s “high level” trim.
