My 07 Tundra has recently started a Loud Humming Noise at 45 MPH and I am completely stumped at what it could be. I drained and refilled the rear diff and it had no shavings in the fluid (minimal amount on the magnetic plug). I have checked all wheels to see if it could be a wheel bearing and there is no play in any of them. I did notice that my front tires are wearing uneven and the driver side is splitting so I changed that and it is still humming. When I took the wheel off, the rotor looked like it had dug into the pads so I plan on changing the rotors, calipers, and pads. When I turn the hub by hand it had a horrible grinding noise but seemed to only do it when the Pads hit a certain spot on the rotor. When you are driving you do not hear a screeching sound. Would the pad grabbing that one spot on the rotors cause a humming vibration? What else can I check? Any help is appreciated.

    Too many, but not enough....
I would say needle bearing but looks like you have a 2wd right? My next bet would be tires they look pretty spent.

@MadMaxCanon Yes 2wd. I also replaced the tires and it is still humming.

Go get your alignment checked. You have some front end issues. Maybe ball joints with wear on the outside like that.

Hanger bearing will start do that as rubber craps out. Rubber gets softer and when it gets to right rpm it’ll vibrate pretty good. It could be a once in a while thing but gets worse as time goes by. I’ve changed them on two of the four Toyotas I’ve had.
