Loud Pop (Spring settle sound) when pulling into and out of driveway.

I have a 2018 tundra with 14000 miles on it. Got it about a month ago. It came with 2.5 inch level blocks which I thought could be the issue I am hearing but I just replaced them with 5100s all around and it is still happening. It happens sometimes when pulling in and out of the driveway. But I have heard it at other random times. It sounds like the coil popping. It happened yesterday when I pulled into the driveway slightly to quickly. And then again when pulling out. It also happened when I was pulling into work this morning. I pulled up a little to far and my tire bumped the parking chock, and it made the noise when I reversed it back a few inches. I don’t want to do anything that could damage it more if this is a serious problem. It is under warranty still but I have a feeling that the dealership could never recreate the sound to be able to diagnose it. Any thoughts or experiences with something like this?

 

Do you have a TRD skid plate? It’s a beige color with a little door on the front?

 

Take a picture of your suspension. I know you said it was before you got 5100s, but are you sure the cup that hold the spring is right side up? Some have accidentally put it on backwards.

 

He said it was like that before the new suspension but always a possibility I guess.

 

Yeah I said he said it was doing it before, but maybe taking a picture will identify something not installed correctly or help narrow it down.

 

I'm wondering if the tire is hitting the corner of the skid plate. OP, what size are your tires/wheels?

 

I am running the stock 275/55R20. Will be upgrading to a 285/65 or 60 soon.

After looking at those photos could my lack of bump stop extenders plus the 5100s at top setting have anything to do with it?

 

I don’t think that would make a pop. I had a pop in my old truck, but I had aftermarket control arms and it was the upper ball joint. Everything on yours looks ok, but I can’t tell about your cv axle angle. Do you have a diff drop kit?

 

Hell, all I have to do is walk past my 2020 Turd Pro and something pops. No idea what it is. Does on crank also and randomly while just sitting there with no one touching it.

 

My 19 does the same thing. I can’t figure it out.
