Low steering fluid in the 2022

I was recently driving and low steering fluid and the engine shut down. When I was able to coast and pull over I had electrical smoke coming from the battery. My local Toyota shop can smell the burn but cannot find anything. The local Toyota rep will be out on Wednesday to see it for himself. I was wonder if anyone out there has had this type of issue?
According to Toyota this has not happened before

 

Steering fluid?? Say what? Steering is electric servo motor, not hydraulic.

So there is a recirculating pump for the radiator so when the engine shuts of when your at a stop light is what caused the electrical smoke.
Still haven’t heard a reason of why it shut down and would start back up.
It did start up the next day though.
