Hello all very informative site. On my 2024 sr5 tundra I ran out of washer fluid. I didn’t see a warning light on the display also can’t find any information in the owners manual. Is there a symbol that I’m not seeing? Thanks

I've had the dealer try several times to figure out why my truck does not warn that the fluid is low. They have yet to figure it out. It is VERY annoying to run out without warning when you need it. I've got a few thousand miles left on the bumper to bumper and would love to have this figured out before warranty is up.

Wild guess - but the SR5 might have fewer options enabled than the higher trim models. Can you locate the physical sensor? Might want to verify it’s there, working and that it’s enabled in Techstream.

Ypu should get a warning on the display when it’s low, but it does go away fairly quickly.

I give it a 0% chance this is an "option" only available on higher trims. That sounds like crazy talk in 2024.

I have a '23 limited and have received the low washer fluid alert/warning via my display screen. Like previously stated it could be something depending on trim levels, I do have the 14" display and was only notified via display, nothing on the instrument panel.

I’ve seen some things. Toyota has a weird way of assembling vehicles. My 2015 Tacoma OR had no washer sensor - but the Limited and Canadian models came with one. My doors were wired for mirror signals though the mirrors were plain Jane.
Like I said, make sure the sensor is there and programmed.

I found if I pack my bed very carefully I can squeeze in a gallon of washer fluid. Call me odd but I know how to open my hood and do a quick inspection which includes fluids.

Well, this is interesting...there is NO MENTION of a warning or indicator for low washer fluid in the Owners Manual. And on page 226 where the OM describes operation of the lights and wipers, it just says, "If no windshield washer fluid sprays, Check that the washer nozzles are not blocked if there is washer fluid in the windshield washer fluid reservoir."

So the Tundra has all kinds of warning lights and indicators for malfunctions (even saw one for pedal malfunction) but not for low washer fluid. I guess we have to go old school and actually check.

You have limited so I am going to say you should be ok. Should come up on your display as a maintenance warning.

It is a PITA to visually check it since the reservoir isn't readily visible from where the fill neck which is just a funnel down to a mostly hidden res much further down. Who pops the hood of their new vehicle to check fluids at each fill up? I find it odd the service department at the dealer would even spend any time entertaining it as a fault if it were not a feature on the truck personally, then again they don't always know the vehicle as well as you'd like. Strange choice by Toyota if this is in fact not a feature across all trims.

Come on. We all know these Gen3s rival the Prius for fuel economy. How often to you stop for gas? Every month or two? Now if you had the old 5.7, a cross between an anchor and an anvil, that's a different story. Checking under the hood every hour or so when you stop for gas is a PITA

In my '24 Limited I got the warning message on the infotainment screen like every 2 minutes. I thought this was going to be a thread on how to acknowledge it and stop the nagging. When I did refill it, it took a whole gallon no problem. Strange there is no way to see the actual reservoir to know.
