Hello, I just purchased a 2015 Tundra CrewMax with 68k miles on it. Upgraded from my 02 Tundra AC. Only issue is that it is a bit too tall to fit into my garage. The previous owner put a Pro Comp either 6 or 7” lift kit on it and I was wondering if anyone could pass along some knowledge about lowering it. I’ve been looking at Pro Comp’s 4” lift and the parts look to be very similar to the 6”/7” minus a few. Can I just remove the coil spacer in front? Or buy some 4” lift coils? IMG_9349.jpg
    Any information is appreciated
    Thanks!IMG_9324.jpg IMG_9305.jpg IMG_9306.jpg

all you need to do is get smaller lift struts and rear blocks. that’s really all there is to it.

Looking at your a arm angles, im thinking you can easily drop it. Stock is near flat, those are angled for sure

im wondering what would happen if you pulled the preload spacer that is inside the strut. The question would be the full compressed shock length, does it have room to handle you lowering it

Thanks for the response. I’ve also considered doing that, I would think that would work just fine. Worst case get some shocks that can compensate for that

So the diff drop, sway bar blocks, LBJ etc. don’t need to be swapped for different parts?

I'm betting that the sway bar blocks would have to come out as well. I would call Pro Comp directly.

I believe the tie rod ends/steering components are different as well. I'd confirm with Pro-comp. It's been a few years but I was asking a local 4x4 truck sales/shop that had some lifted Tundras on their lot. The lifts were big and I had asked about swapping to a smaller lift. I assumed they just wanted to sell me a new kit, but the salesperson said something along those lines.

i would say no BECAUSE majority of 6 inch drop bracket lift kits are JUST 4 inch drop bracket lift kits with the difference being you get bigger rear blocks and strut spacers to equate the “6 inch lift kit” instead of a 4 inch drop bracket lift kit. i hope what i said makes sense lol?

I think the pro comp is a 6 inch drop, gotta see the space between the lca mounting bolts

That’s what I am thinking. I tried calling Pro Comp but they didn’t answer so I emailed them. Thanks!

Interesting. OP measure the lca mounting bolts to the old location. That drop is probably the min you can run

How tall is the block on top of the strut?

The 1.25 spacer is yielding at least 2 inches of lift. Really surprised they use that when it has a replacement shock

id be super interested to see what would happen if you installed an OE shock/spring with that 5 inch spacer. Should lower it down perfect

I believe this is the route I’m going to take. The Pro Comp rep also said that would be my best plan of attack. I’ll let you know how it goes once it’s all done
