Seems like a stupid question On this forum after browsing through 90% of the suspension threads. Does anyone Lower tundras? Would love to see some lol. I come from BMW SUVs and sedans but just picked up a Tundra Sport. Seems like up is the only way to go

I used the full kit from SOS performance to lower just the rear, and the truck sits level.

Lot's of folks here forget that 90%+ Tundras sold are left stock except some owners like ditching the crappy ass tires that come with them:thumbsup: Nothing wrong with wanting to lower your Tunny......tastefully;)

Well I would hate to clog the 68 pages of suspension threads with what could be the third thread on lowering so I’ll just post in this one. This way it saves the “did you use the search tool” comment.
    End sarcasm

I’m kinda playing with the idea of lowering my Tundra. Nothing crazy...I don’t think. Maybe 2/4 or 3/5’ish.
I have come across the SOS kits. What else is out there?
    Any aftermarket front coilovers?
    Just rear billsteins?

Thinking about going 22’s or 24’s.

Would like to go as far as honey d fenders but that’s probably not ever going to happen.

Any way I’ve had jacked up trucks and slammed S10’s in the past. So I like both.

    What else is out there?

That one I sent to the wife earlier as an example.
Pretty spot on to what I would be after though.

I feel like I remember reading about flipping the leaf springs to lower the rear a couple of inches. I could be talking in my sleep though so who knows.

That seems right. They use axle flip for the rear.

    Yeah, that was post #7

The rear only kit from SOS relocates the leaf springs under the axle... this lowers the bed a minimum of 3.25"IMG_0925.jpg

Did you get the air bag kit with the compressor? Or just the standard kit?

@Rex Kramer - is this the type of job for a DIY or hire out to a shop?

I assume an alignment is also required?

I hired out because I don't have the tools, space or time, and yes I did have it aligned after the work was done.

I noticed in your posts #7 and #8, you have air bags also. Any specific reason for those? They arent part of the kit...

They can be part of the kit, I added them to help when hauling or towing and to keep the drive shaft from contacting the frame. Some perform a C-notch mod... I decided to use the bags.
