Tried to search for it but only found the details on lifting/leveling an AVS truck. I am considering ordering a '22 platinum and have only ever had lifted vehicles, want to explore what a lowered truck is like. The below picture caught my eye, anyone know if this is possible to pull off on an AVS truck?

Anything is possible, but why a platinum? You could just buy a TRD Sport which is already lowered from the factory and slap on 22" rims and will pretty much achieve this look. I highly doubt there are any lower specific kits for the 2022 Tundra at this time on the market. In due time. However, you could always cut the rear springs which would drop the rear, but might be a little bouncy. To each their own style, compliments on your originality.

Platinum for the interior goodies. Got my wife an X5 last year and have become spoiled by the quality and touch points. Also, living in AZ having the vented seats in the rear will be helpful for comfort of all occupants. I don't necessarily want to go stupid low like we have all seen, more just leveling by dropping the rear instead of leveling by raising the front if that makes sense. Have had lifted trucks my whole life and tired of the pain that it is to get my motorcycle in the back.

If they had trd sport with platinum interior, that's exactly what I would get.

Just realized AVS, doesn't have coils in the back. i assumed it was a bag underneath coils.. Not sure how that would work. Learning something new :)

its almost on the bump stop as it is stock in the N position, I would just forget about that honestly.

There should be enough adjustment in the rear ride height lever to lower it plenty. That being said you'll need to swap out the bump stops for something smaller if you lowered it much more than it comes from the factory because it'll sit on those stops and ride shitty. There's a thread on raising the rear end ride height, the same strategy applies for what you're asking about.

Yeah definitely anticipating having to relocate the bumps as long as the diff won't hit the bed or it doesn't cause geometry issues in any of the links.

C-notch the rear, drop spindles and drag frame like it's the early 90's!

Whoa. Just hearing someone say that brings back memories.

Not of me doing that, but plenty of kids in high school. There were three groups in my HS: Lifted Truck guys, Drag Racers, and Lowered Truck guys. I had a 5-speed 1990 Fox Body Mustang GT in HS (loved that car!), but had a buddy that had a 1995 Chevy 3500 dually that was bagged, body dropped, shaved door handles with solenoids...the whole lot. He thought it was cool to drag the frame in the school parking lot until he almost got expelled for "damaging school property." haha.

I will admit...his truck looked pretty damn cool "laying frame" when parked.

Going for the Nascar Truck look. I get it. :-D

Seeing this kinda makes me wonder what a 2022 Tundra single cab would look like. I miss single cab trucks occasionally.

My buddy had a Chevy 4 door dually like that, dragging frame and had 6 Cerwin Vega Stroker 15's in the bed with a pass-through to the cab. I called it the "Starship Enterprise" because that's what it felt like, a spaceship in traffic

I liked what Ford did with their single cabs, they had a small "king cab" extension behind the seat to give a little more space.

The highest sport package gets fairly close to a platinum.

You essentially lose pano roof, ventilated seats (still heated), HUD display, ambient lighting, digital rear view mirror, QI, and air suspension.
Gains are already lowered front and all color matched.

From the look of the factory bumpstop position, you wiuld need to c notch the frame and possibly move the upper bag mounts up, which who knows if there is room under the bed for that

I am looking to lower mine as well (w/air). After looking at the different rear set ups. Air/No Air. The Spring truck has shorter bump stops. I have built a few bagged trucks in the past. I always ran my rear bags with low psi. With no weight and anything more then about 15 PSI..... Anybody seen my Back brace? I can only imagine the bags are pretty soft in the Tundras. Soooooooooo, I will assume they extended the bumps stops on the air trucks to curb any bag damage if the rear was to Travel to far in a bump. Just my 0.02.

Back in the day, you were cutting up a 10-20k truck. Scary to cut up a 60k tundra

or you could have bought a platinum w/o the AQ package. i personaly dont care for the avs and the automatic running boards that is tied to the hud option.

have a reserve request currently in dealerdaily for a platinum w/o any packages which is going to take a while since its an oddball config

Id forget about lowering. You’re looking at significant fab work with how little up travel they come with
