I have a 6 inch lift oh, the only complaint I have is the front strut spacers, my truck is also a pavement princess but every now and then I take off road to the beach or some down some dirt roads, bilstein's have a 6in strut and so does rough country, that also depends on how you're going to use your truck, since I live close to the coast, I only go to the beach or down some dirt roads, I don't live in Arizona Colorado or California for suspension is different, good luck with your research, I'm sure you'll make the right choice

I have a 5 inch kit and regret getting it. Im going to be changing to MT as soon as I get the cash. Most lift kits will require to cut the front cross member so that’s a deal breaker for some. MT will be so much smoother and even tho she’s a pavement princess u will have no problem offroading Incase u change ur mind. But if u go 6 inch lift and want to off-road then u have to be more careful then ever ask me how I know ughhh

That's what I have read, I feel mid travel is where I will end up, and just wanted real feedback. My research is pointing me to mid travel setup ( ) or ( )

Not bad choices. A couple ppl on here run those set ups. Don’t forget about ADS,fox, icon, king. I’m just listing them and not in any order but tons of options for ur needs

Ill try to keep a long story short. I bought my previous 2015 with 6" spacer lift installed. Coming from Tacoma's I know the limitations of spacers and how the bottom shock bolts like to blow out if you run them to hard. I just babied it or took it easy on the dunes. Started looking into swapping spacers for Coilovers. I priced out everything from Icon for front and rear. was about 5 grand. Looked at a king coil over and TC UCA setup with Deavers and that was similar priced. Had that truck for 4 years and 30 something thousand miles with 0 problems with the lift. The swap I was looking at was purely a want. Just traded it in about 2 months ago. Current truck is stock. Ride is clearly much better but I didn't have a problem with it when I was lifted. Its a lifted truck after all.

If you are staying on the road and want to go 6" try to find a kit with coil overs like the Procomp stage 2. Its a lot cheaper in the long run.
If you go 3" Icon usually has huge BF sales and so will pretty much everyone. Good time to save some money on some more expensive kits.

I think the next lift for us will be the wifes new 4runner and that will be either Icon or Toytec.

    Good luck with your decision!

I'm running a ProComp 6 inch with Rough Country 6 inch struts, no spacer. Ride is smooth. Predominantly on the road towing.

Tony is being very modest! I personally witnessed this man with his spacer lift in Big Bear on a trail called White Mountain this weekend! He rocked the steep gravely hills like nothing! Im sure his ride sucked as far as comfort, but he went slow when needed and i know he wants more dirt cuz you can't see it on his truck!

Yep 6" rough country lift here. With the coilovers they offer I love the ride it gives and have never looked back I personally just pavement stomp for now but as the truck gets older who knows I may just wheels this long bed limo some day. Lol.

Nope. Rides like a truck. I do know Mnorris had spacers and swapped over to new shocks.

Ot was like a log wagon with spacers just my opinion. But it rides really good for a lifted truck. I have a buddy that has a 6" lift on his gmc and he cant believe how good my truck feels compared to his.

What about a 4" - 4.5" ? I'm an older version RC 6" my RCM isn't cut, so technically I can get rid of this lift, BUT... I see the 2020 TRD PRO in MGM so I don't think I'm gonna do anymore to mine, I saw a video where a Tundra was a 6" lift with 37*1250* 18, I'm on 20s and there is a lot of space from tire to top of wheel well kinda looks IMO not good
