Been having the Tundra TRD Pro fever as soon as I saw it, I had to have it!. This forum is great! Really enjoy everyone's input. Hope to add when I get mine. Just put a deposit on it and waiting for when it will go into cycle production. I got the Voodoo blue.

Thx Guys! Yeah, the wait is going to be killer. I just missed the first batch as I am told. Last week was informed by another dealer that the entire first batch has been sold out. So I am now in the second round. Hope to see this dealer come through. BTW, only 3 colors are available for this, White, Black and Voodoo Blue. No other color options. CrewMax only and standard Moonroof is added to it as well. I've attached what was given to me from the dealer. Standard TRD Pro with no options..yet. LOL

Yes! I also added a photo of the reciept attached to the original email trail to make sure it was all in one thread to follow. If it got down to it, I would have paid for it already but they didnt have a VIN to give me. LOL. BTW Watt Maker, read your TRD cement thread, and I am from columbus now living in Dallas. Germain are probably the most professional I came across at any dealership vs California and TX. Glad you had a good experience. TBT, I had to order mine back in OH and drive it back to TX as well.

What part of Texas are you in? I haven’t been lucky enough to see a Voodoo blue pro in person yet...

I'm now in Dallas. Kinda sucks, I have to drive up to get a truck made in Texas from Ohio to have it back in Texas but I think its worth it. I hear the first Voodoo Blue was delivered to someone in Oklahoma City.

Nah, I think that’s a good thing. That way you can avoid all the GST (Gulf State Toyota) added BS that f’s the “MSRP” up...GST adds a bunch of crap at the “port”. Toyota makes the trucks in San Antonio, then they send them to GST port. There they add things like overpriced window tint, environmental paint packages (BS), pop-locks for tail gate (overpaying) and other stupid stuff that does nothing but jack the prices up. Then the GST dealers, all Toyota dealers in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and maybe OK(?) that have put orders in have their orders fulfilled by GST. Southeast Toyota (SET) is the same stupid way (North/South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama). They also have their own fake trim level that are overpriced mid-range trim trucks. TSS for GST and XSP for SET. These are based on SR5 trucks but priced at or more than Limited trim trucks we can get in other areas outside of GST and SET.

Not sure if Ohio is Mid-Atlantic region or some other region, but orders are filled directly by actually Toyota. Much better off to not buy one in GST/SET. Plus, I can get non-FFV 5.7 whereas you have to get FFV in GST.

Long story long, enjoy the drive from OH to TX- it’s worth it. And congrats on the new truck :)

There is a DFW Tundra meetup? When and where does it usually occur? When I get it, I will definitely go and see what ideas and tips I can use to personalize this truck.

I was wondering about that as I was dealing with some local Dallas dealers. Makes sense as I was talking to my OH dealer and some of the codes I gave him says does not exist in his system and they are directly connected to Toyota. Thanks for the info.

We post our regular meet ups here:
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/dfw-meet-ups.29322/

Sometimes we just meet up on the fly, sometimes we plan out mod-days, and we are trying to grow the group and maybe attend events, go do fun things, etc. That first post is constantly updated with the current plans!

    Congrats! Awesome Truck!!

Don't be jealous but, I put a deposit on a Voodoo Blue Tundra TRD PRO around the same time as you, August 23. I just happened to be in getting new tires on my Inferno TRD Pro 4Runner at my local dealer when I overheard one of the salesman say they had a Voodoo Blue Tundra TRD Pro coming in about 4 weeks, so I inquired about it and it was still available (Lucky)! Wrote a check on the spot for the deposit. They tell me mine is being built on Sept. 11, delivery to Bismarck, ND about 2 weeks later. I wish someone would post a real pic of the Voodoo Blue (besides the odd one with tow mirrors posted, if you google Voodoo Blue Tundra)!

    Cannot wait to see it!

Nice! yeah, I hear you on those pictures. Closest one can see is the one on the toyota build, they now have a picture so you can build it in that color. Congrats! Post some pictures for all of us to see.
