Has anyone had this system installed? Wondering how it compares to TRD Pro sound and performance, especially towing. Thanks.

I don’t have that system, but i do have that magnfow muffler.

It is extremely quiet, you can barely hear it in midrange. High end it is silent.

Same ....I have a magnaflow muffler and it’s pretty quiet. A member on here posted not to long ago of a Gibson muffler that sounded really good so I might change it out. Can’t remember who it was though

Thanks TXTundra2722. I read it but I think I need to stay with a single exhaust set up due to my towing needs. Hbjeff and 2010bigdog is that what you guys have? I am loooking at the Magnaflow with two pipes in and two pipes out with the x pipe inside the muffler and both pipe exiting on the passenger side.

Mine is dual in single out as well. Only get the big magnaflow if you want a super quiet exhaust.

Im getting the dirty deeds one.

I had a Magnaflow 2 in 1 out. Lost low end and had terrible drone. I was getting 10mpg hwy @60mph with 37's and 4.88's calibrated. Replaced with Dirty Deeds 8" and the same weekly trip went to 12.

I have the 5x11x22 muffler from magnaflow. Barely louder than stock. It has a small rumble on start up them falls to silent.

Im looking forward to the 10 inch system from the group buy. Get in on it and save some dough!

Most of dirtydeeds exhausts are single. He recommends single unless you do headers as well.
If you tow I'd recommend his 10" single. It'll sound line and throaty when you get on it, quite when towing, and no drone. You'll be very happy. If you buy a magnaflow I'd be very willing to bet you'll replace it within a year with a dirtydeeds. Do it right the 1st time. I had a 6" but it was a little loud and raspy for my liking so I went with an 8" and I really like it. If I towed I'd get a 10" or 12"

    Not nearly enough room here!
Before I started pestering Keith about his exhaust systems, I had a Corsa catback with their Touring muffler. As far as workmanship and install ease, the Corsa is in BA's class for sure. Corsa's use of 3 inch pipe (as most other "off the shelf" systems use) is what helped me decide after speaking to Keith. He matched me up with his 10 inch single catback, because of the towing we do and after I told him, I'd rather have a 'grown-up' sound, as opposed to some of the obnoxious systems on other trucks. I'd be just as happy with a 12 inch system but the 10 inch BA muffler, matches the Corsa Touring's sound in tone and loudness.

The 3” pipe being a bad thing for torque, right?

According to Keith, our engines need the back pressure the smaller pipe offers. He uses stock size pipe on his systems to keep the "grunt" where it belongs. After Super Charging though, the 3 inch pipe is the way to go; again as per Keith's expert knowledge on the subject.

Boudin example of using just a new muffler install looks like a good cost effective way to get the nice V8 sound with out dumping lots of money on brand new system and being disappointed. I will have to see what a muffler shop will charge for installing a muffler with the orginal pipes vs a new stainless steel system.

Corsa makes good exhaust, but you'd be hard pressed to find an exhaust that has been tested specifically on our Tundras as Keith has done.

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.

Not a knock on the DD exhaust or Keith, but come on the TRD system would not be offered and installed from Toyota if it was not the best that an exhaust can do on the 5.7

Like the cai, everyone bemoans the slight loss at low end. Does anyone tow, haul, haul ass at low rpm? No. The TRD stuff is hands down best for the reliability that Toyota is known for.

If every automaker made the best system possible for their vehicles/engines, there wouldn't really be a need for aftermarket exhaust companies. There is always room for improvement in just about all exhaust systems.... including supercars. Now, most of the real benefits are not noticed until other add ons, but the same nonetheless

I agree with part of that but most of the systems have drone, made with materials that dont meet the warranty specs by Toyota and certainly dont have the r&d that TRD has.

Just saying the interwebs can be fantastic advertising... We are talking a muffler here, not hi po ancillaries for a supercharged/turbo engine.

: ) I agree that TRD clearly completes their own R&D.
This is why we live in a great country, because we have all kinds of options to choose from, with literally everything imaginable. I fully support the "Little guys and small companies" all of the time.. which in turn helps support the American dream. TRD makes a great exhaust if you plan on staying stock and you aren't adding or changing anything else. I will be continuing down this road of aftermarket parts, therefore I choose this particular company over factory Toyota parts. I will be adding long tube headers very soon and TRD has not researched their exhaust with aftermarket headers as dirty deeds has..... (maybe I left this part out earlier). Either way we will both continue to enjoy our vehicles in our own ways.

Corsa didn't build a Touring model Catback for my 2010 at the time. I had to special order their Exhaust with the Touring muffler, instead of their Sport System (which was the only one offered for my Tundra and would be too loud) Corsa's fit & finish and ease of installation is as good as anything out there, in my opinion. If you've ever heard Keith's explanation about pipe-size and required back pressure needed for our engines, you'd be hard pressed to stay with any exhaust system that uses 3 inch pipe. Keith's 10 inch single catback, matches Corsa's Touring muffler for sound, better than I could've hoped for. Do yourself a favor and call him before making your decision, 1-760-877-4234.
