For anyone who is struggling with getting the serpentine belt on a Magnuson/TRD S/C, I just figured out how to get the belt on with little effort and no external help. I may be an idiot and this may be obvious to you, but the first time I tried this it took me way too long (nor did I get it on in this method).

    1. to hold the tensioner open with a 5 mm allen key or something, the hole for this is most easily accessed from the bottom of the truck (and thus you should remove the skid plate if possible). You can probably do it from the top but it would be more difficult. See attached photo, this is looking up at it. The bolt on the tensioner has a 14 mm head.

    2. to route/loop the belt as according to the Magnuson routing diagram, leaving the ribbed idler between the AC compressor (bottom, drivers side) and the supercharger pulley as the last one to slide the belt over. See attached photos.

Using this method I was able to swap the supercharger belt. The supercharger belt provided with the Magnuson kit is a Dayco 5081125, the universal part number (if you’re in a pinch) is 8PK2860.

Ignore the zip ties, I use them to help wrangle the belt but with this method they are not really necessary.

Hope this helps, I know it would have helped me...

Thank you for sharing this. I just bought a 2016 Tundra with the Magnuson supercharger with only 35k miles, but I found this post while trying to find a replacement belt for when I eventually need one.

Do you have the part number for the belt?

How do you like your supercharger? Any regrets?

Thanks for the reply. I'll add that to my kit.
