It's a proper fit, I think - it was on the previous owners 2006 AC and I have a 2001 AC - should be same fit I believe, right??

it's in a bit of rough shape with lots of weather exposure (which just appears to make it easier to paint as almost all the lacquer/clear seems to be gone) and some hinge issues. It only closes on one side (hinge/alignment issues) and there's no keys ... and it involves about 4 hours of driving ...

BUT it's only $200 and all the glass and seals are intact.

Turns out the manufacturer is still in business making caps so I *may* be able to get some parts for repairs.

I will be headed out on Friday to see it and hopefully pick it up. I'm excited as it seems these are a rare find, from what I can tell.

pics he sent were CRAP. Like 200x300 and fuzzy. I'll take pics once I head out there.

Yes, the bed dimensions are the same from 01-06. Who is the manufacturer?

Are you positive the bed dimensions are the same?

Without me looking it up, my memory says there is a very small discrepancy although either will fit. Someone check me on this.

The beds are different between Double Cabs and Access cabs but he mentioned staying AC to AC. I'm not aware of any changes to access cab beds. Also, the shell on my truck is from an 06 Double Cab but still fits.

OK, so further pics - it's missing ONE piece of glass - center piece in the front. Shouldn't be too expensive. Here's some poor quality pics, LOL.

Replacement Windows are stupid expensive on truck caps, so research if you can just replace that piece of glass. If it's like most caps, it will have a serial number on it on the inside, if you can get that, you can contact the company and confirm fitment. If it's not made specifically for your truck it will be impossible to seal weather tight...so if that is important, check it out. Good luck!

FWIW mine stays open 24/7-365 for the dog. I rarely get any water in it at all. Maybe due to aerodynamics or angle of bulge above window.

The current owner tells me it cracked and he removed it - says he never had an issue and moved one of his boxes up under it that he access frequently so he could get to it from inside the cab, LOL.

Either way, I also have a buddy at a glass shop, so I'm sure I can make this work either with or without it ...
