Mesh grills...never heard of APG grills

So im looking for a mesh grill for my 2020. My goal is to put my Rigid led pods behind it like I did on my 2013. Grillcraft is no longer in business. I saw these APG's on CarID but I have never heard of them. T-Rex makes a couple but they are expensive. These are the APG's.

 

Looks good, I'd be interested in one too. Do they sell it with surround?

 

Look on eBay, I just searched "apg grille tundra" pulls 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen. I actually had one like the first picture on my Tacoma! I wouldn't say it was a pain to put together just time consuming, had little L shaped brackets that bolted onto the back side of the plastic and mesh so 2 bolts per L bracket.

 

You can make your own if you can't find a manufacturer you are happy with.

Custom Grilles sells the mesh to make your own. They have some instruction videos on how to do it. They offer different meshes and inform you how much open surface is available for each design.

In your situation it makes more sense to DIY, you can cut out holes for your lights. The only issue I see is if you have TSS and relocating the radar to the lower part of the grille bulge.

 

I'll check it out. The main reason for looking into the mesh is because I don't know how these pods would work with the current grill. I guess I could plug them in and see lol. I still have my stock grill so I could cut some openings in it possibly and see how it looks.
