TLDR Meso Customs went above and beyond with me and their dome/map lights are awesome.

I have no affiliation nor received any compensation. I just feel like when someone does good, you gotta recognize it.

This past Black Friday I treated myself and ordered the Ultimate Dome Light and Ultimate Map Lights for '14-'21 Tundras from Meso Customs. What's cool about them is their ability to be both bright white and red. The red light appealed to me as useful when needing to see around the truck but not blind myself or others while on the road. Sort of like a photography dark room (kids ask your parents).

They arrived quickly and I couldn't wait to install them. There are youtube videos that made the install easy, maybe 15 minutes. Right away I was relieved that the light output for both the red and white leds were excellent. It was easy to switch back and forth using the buttons on the lights and I find myself using the red more often than the white.

But there was an issue: the lights themselves were a different color than my interior. The Meso Customs website said the lights were OEM beige color and would match factory headliners and trim, but they definitely didn't. For reference I have a 2017 Limited with what I learned was not "beige" but Tan leather, trim and headliner. Anyone who has done the Driver's grab handle upgrade probably knows this, but there are two interior trim colors in our trucks: "Light Grey" and "Sand Beige" aka Tan. My guess is most have the Light Grey headliner and trim, but any with the Tan leather or the 1794 would have the Sand Beige.

I was fine leaving things as-is. I bought the lights for their light, and honestly how often do I look at the Dome housing? But it kept gnawing on me for a couple weeks until I decided to shoot an email to Meso Customs just to check if maybe I ordered the wrong color, if I was missing something, or simply let them know. I made sure to tell them I loved the lights and wasn't complaining.

To my surprise, I got a very quick reply from Travis M. at Meso and while he explained that they only made the lights in the one color (Light Grey), he was surprised to see the discrepancy and offered to ship my lights back to them free of charge and color match the bezels. He also asked a little about my truck, what the trim level was and if the interior was custom or oem. It seemed like maybe I was the first "sand beige" Tundra to order the lights, or at least the first to say anything!

I got a prepaid shipping label the next day via email, took my new lights back off and shipped them to California along with my oem dome light switch for color matching purposes and anxiously waited...in the dark, because I was too lazy to put my old map bulbs back in.

Maybe a little over a week later, I got an email from Jeron D. saying they were trying a couple different paints and I should get my lights back in a couple days. Not only did they offer to paint the bezels but it really seemed like they took the time to get the color as close as possible!

Finally, my newly painted lights and my oem switch returned to my mailbox and I quickly reinstalled them. Not only was it good to have my cab illuminated again, but I gotta say the color looks a lot better than before and I am A)happy I said something in the first place and B)really impressed with the customer service and extra effort by the crew at Meso Customs. They didn't owe me anything, they could've left it alone. But service like this seems to be in exceedingly short supply these days so I really appreciated it and felt it deserved a shout out on here. I would 100% recommend Meso Customs' products to anyone and if/when I order more items from them in the future I will feel like my money is going to a good group.

Lastly, I didn't think to ask them if they are going to offer the lights in the Sand Beige going forward, or if this same offer would apply to others when they order, but it might be worth mentioning if you do happen to have the sand beige interior like me. Below are before and after pics of the lights as well as what the lights look like when on. The white leds are a nice natural 5000k and bright but not blinding, and the red leds looks pretty sweet especially from outside! Cheers.
