Is it me or the center bore isn’t matched up? 2022 tundra

maybe someone from Method wheels or knows something something if they have wheels that fit 3gen tundras without use of rings.

so I checked method website and now see them list the spec for the hub bore at 106 for 705 wheels. I didn’t get the rings with my order at discount or method didn’t put them in the box. The 3 gen tundra hub bore is 95 said by members here and other place I’ve checked.

Older toyotas are 106mm hub bore, 3rd gen is like 97mm or something.

Hub centric rings for 2022+ Tundra

Aftermarket wheels tend to have bigger bore size to fit multiple vehicle. Need hub centric rings to fill in the gaps. 3rd gen Tundra hub bore size is 95.1mm.

I feel like discount tire owe me some rings. Got wheels from them. Should the rings be included? I drove 12k already like this. Had tires balanced today and asked them to leave covers off and discovered this.

I just don’t see a small company like Stealth Wheels can produce a wheel that fits and a big company like Method can’t. That’s unreal

stealth only makes like toyota and like maybe jeep parts if im mistaken, method does every make and model under the sun and then some...

also methods ship with the spacers - if you purchased them direct from method, or at least at 1 point they were, but have seem many posts where the new user never mounts them, ppl who say you gotta get rings need to talk to those who arent running rings - majority of the ppl arent is my guess

One of the reasons I picked Icon wheels. They have the exact hub size for the new Tundras.

FN BFDs also have the correct hub bore.

I talked to Method about this because the rings that came with the wheels don't fit. The said we don't need rings, they are lug centric. You need extended thread lugs with a 60deg chamfer, not the standard ball seat lugs.

Tire discount mounted and balanced mine. When I hit the highway, I was bouncing all over the place. Turns out, the tech put ball seat lugs on. Changed them out for the ET lugs and it was smooth as butter. I did end up buying the hub rings just in case I still had vibration, but don't. Still plan on putting them on as belt and suspenders, but according to Method, you don't need them.

Shout out to Method CS, dude was top notch and helped me figure out what was going in like 10 min.

Interesting take if Toyota designed for the hub to carry the weight, then hub centric would be preferred.

I mean, there are many people on here running aftermarkets without rings. If it were a major issue, we'd hear about it. I am going to put the rings on to be overly cautious, but I think think most will be fine with the et lugs

So we’re all cool with this but everyone will die if they run spacers that aren’t hubcentric. Got it.

Uh, okay... I'm just reporting what Method engineering informed me about their designs and testings. No opinion on spacers provided here.

I have rings for cheap insurance because thats what I wanted to do.

I was summarizing every non-hubcentric thread conversation into one sarcastic comment. Wanting to be scientific, here's some information about why the two are different.

    https://www.machinedesign.com/faste...ence-between-lugcentric-and-hubcentric-wheels

"A problem arises when using a lug-centric wheel on a vehicle and suspension that was originally a hub-centric design. Without the hub’s support, road impacts can deform lugs enough to where the wheel is no longer concentric with the hub, leading to vibrations. This can reduce the clamping force of the wheel to the hub. Road loading conditions can then move the wheel around on the hub, as can be seen by the worn holes in the image below of a lug-centric wheel used on a hub-centric vehicle."
