Mice 'in the cab' mitigation

    I noticed mice droppings in the cab of my tundra, it's parked outside and not used much. I found the entry point when I pulled the bed for repaint. There are vents on the back of the cab that lead to an opening behind the rear seat. The drivers side vent cover/flapper was missing, 1st photo. 2nd photo is chicken wire zip tied on. 3rd photo is the stock rubber cover from the passenger side. You can check the vent covers without pulling the bed.

    Bummer but awesome you found it, and also it's a warning: They love nesting on top of and chewing the hell out of everything on top of the fuel tank. And of course, nesting up under the intake manifold, where they chew up the knock sensor and starter wiring.

    FYI, the vents are around $50/ea online, looked them up for another member a couple days ago, although it seems stock is extremely low, i.e. they're already NLA at Toyota corporate, and stock is very limited at peripheral (legitimate) parts sites:
