For those who have this tire, what is your general feedback? Road noise? Highway ride? Off-road traction? Tire failure? Sidewall issues?

    Thanks in advance.

Absolute trash. Skittery as hell on gravel roads. Slippery on wet roads. Look like car tires. Toyota should be ashamed of putting such tires on a TRD Off Road.

Michelin LTX AT2s? If so, they are just as silent as Defenders, so no road noise.

Mine have been superb in off-road use (deer lease) with mud, sand, soil, rock (all sizes), cactus - I drive all over a multi-thousand acre place down to rivers over large rocks. I've had fun plowing thru mud, the side snipes give great traction along with the tread design - never even came close to getting stuck.

No tire failures even though my Wranglers got a puncture on the very same terrain. Great tires, though not inexpensive. Mine have lasted about 40K and have 9mms of tread left, so they wear very well.

No, LTX Trail is a new AT tire from Michelin overseas and can be found on the Off-road package of Tundra.

I've never used them, but it looks like a car tire..

They are quiet, run smooth, and aren’t good off-road or in snow.

I took mine off for some Wildpeaks and am much happier for my needs.

I had them on the E range version on my Ram 3500 diesel and they were great riding and wearing. I'm not a guy who goes out and looks for places to rock crawl or get my truck stuck so they were perfect for my use. They only issue I had with them is that they didn't have the snowflake rating on them for winter driving but I felt they were fine in the snow.

In USA, LTX TRAIL comes only in one size. You had another Michelin tire.

Best tire Michelin makes is the defender, much better than even the AT2. Great on road, wet, snow, sand, dirt.....but not for mud or rocks.

Yup - I have both on two different Toyota trucks, they are alike except one has Side Snipes that really help with mud, snow, sand, etc.

Don't take my word for it, try them at a place that guarantees your Satisfaction like Discount (or Americas') Tire, then you decide and write it up here.

Just picked up my SR5 TRD off road and drove it 4 hours and am horrified but the horrible highway ride. Felt every little bump on the road. Researching these tires as the first step. Any other insight?!

Check the tire pressure. I had a similar experience after a tire rotation. They increased pressure to 40 psi in the tires and it beat me up over rough surfaces. Dropped them back down to 33 and ride improved dramatically. I run between 32-35 on mine. Hope it is a simple fix for ya. Not sure what kind of tires you have but some are C, D or E load range and they will ride stiffer than Std load tires.

    What’s wrong with stock?
They are good quiet tires. They look good on my 22 sr5 OR. Not all of us want or need big knobby tires. We can’t drive these in the Everglades so our off-roading is limited. I feel these tires are firm on the road with good handling, wet and dry. I work in the Redlands (farming area in Miami) so I get the gravel and dirt roads. Nothing major but then again no problems at all.

I have them set at 36psi and get decent mpg. About 15 in Miami stop and go traffic. Towing about 12 and mixed I just got 21 mpg on a trip to key west. I’m doing a long road trip soon and am curious what mileage I will get. A buddy has a lifted 21 with large tires and complains about mileage daily. So for a fuel economy standpoint I think that are great. Let’s just see how long they last.

    Lots of stuff!
I got them with my TRD OR package and found them to be okay but they didn’t have the snow rating that I need in my area. I took them off after ~1,000 miles.

I also found them to be too small for the truck. For an off road version of the Tundra, it was not what I wanted.

If I got a version of the Tundra that didn’t have the off road package, I would have gotten different tires from Toyota.

I had those exact tires. OEM types, worst tire I have ever experienced. Start saving now for some new ones. Mine actually rode ok but they wore horribly fast. I got 2 flats with them also. I am not one to complain too much, but those tires were a very poor value. I know Michelin makes these special for Toyota, but it was so disappointing that I will never buy another set of that brand. They are poisoning their legacy with that crap. I am rolling on a set of Vredstein Pinzas now and they are so much better.
