There should be 3 torx heads underneath that hold that mirror in place. Most likely will need a new mirror.

Or if the fastener it was using is stripped, opt for thicker-body fastener. It needs to move, so I don't feel like glues/adhesives are the answer here, unless you're injecting it into the hole, and running your fastener up into said gluehole.

Check for wires going into the mirror, some of '05+ had heated mirrors (mine does)

Think I will try glue. Is gorilla glue the best I never tried it.. I have tried super glue on past projects. It only works on my skin

I had a speed nut mount break on my 2014 hood bulge.
I tried several types of glue and epxoy, but nothing ever held up to the wind and vibration.
I ended up replacing the hood bulge.

Maybe someone has a solution that worked..

My 05 DC SR5 also had heated mirrors.
I'd be surprised if your limited didn't...

You should just be able to swap the caps over. @The Black Mamba posted instructions on how to pop the caps recently, IIRC. But my brain fails me from time to time.

So I haven't messed with my Tundra specifically but when my sister needed a mirror on her 2014 camry I ordered one with a black cap and planned to swap over the paint matched white one only to find that the aftermarket one used totally different clip locations. Ended up just leaving it black. Just something to be aware of.

Look on ebay for a used mirror.

Can anyone recommend a replacement mirror having the snap off cap that will accept my stock cap. My stock cap is white. I would like to snap it on the replacement mirror to match my other mirror. The ones I have found online don't mention having a snap off cap

No clue. Honestly it’s so easy to find used ones at junkyards, I’m not sure I’d buy a new one. Www.car-part.com or just use fleaBay maybe.

I tired buying just the caps color matched at the junk yard and they only sell the whole mirror. I saw someone mentioned they bought two new ones from rockauto for under $80. One side is about to be sale (about to be discontinued) the other is full price

Yeah, I mean, I’d just buy a whole used mirror is what I’m saying. Two new ones for 80 though, that’s compelling. I’m sure you’d be out $50-60 per used mirror over here. Currently my Facebook Marketplace is loaded with parts trucks though, so ….

I believe that you want to search for "paint to match" when looking at a replacement mirror. The cap will be primed, and somehow removable to do so. However, they are aftermarket, so there's no guarantee that your cap will fit.

I got a set of Kool Vue mirrors off ebay for like $60 and was VERY pleased with the quality. They fit and look perfect. Mine are the SR5 chrome mirrors but I think I recall seeing an option for the color match mirrors that come without the Cap.

Rock Auto has a different brand that comes without the color cap: More Information for TYC 5330032 (rockauto.com)

I looked at the TYC 5330032 on Rockauto. The picture shows a mirror without the cap. Triedv to call Rockauto to see if my paintede white cap will snap in on their mirror. Rockauto does not accept phone calls to discuss parts. Thinking of taking a chance and ordering their mirror. It looks the same as my oem mirror. Hope someone will respond that has experience with this TYC 5330032 mirror. Not sure if I can return if it does not workout the my cap fits
